LOVE it. Glad to see some advanced commuter trains in America outside the NEC. Would the pantograph perform better aerodynamically if the pointed end were facing the direction of travel, or does it even matter?

I always choose another airline for business class - if I have a choice. BA is bare bones and nickel/dime. Really sad.

I have a similar flight on China air business class from Hanoi to Taipei. I'm concerned about getting out from my window seat to the aisle to get to the restroom. Its a terrible layout but only 2 hour 30 minute flight

Agree. 2-2 Business Class layout is certainly not very “premium”.

Inside these trains will have all the comforts and conveniences of Amtrack trains which for commuters will be a big plus.

Now we have got some good horns. I would have hate it so much if they have used same diesel locomotives style horns on these units like they did with everything else such as Amtrack ACS-64

a few months ago, British airways has started refurbishing the 787 cabins. they look really sleek now, The a350 comes from factory with it, the 777 fleet had started being refurbished a couple of years ago.

I believe the Coast Starlight has never detoured Tehachapi since September 2019? I hope it does again because I would hope to see one there in person since I’ve never seen one there and would be extremely lucky if I got to ride one over Tehachapi! It’s only needed when it’s regular route is closed due to trackwork though

It is unacceptable to give passengers the 787-9 business class seats - disgustingly old and embarrassing. They should retrofit all old business class cabins. It’s 2024!

Agreed! People need to vote with their wallets. If people continue paying for an inferior product, then there is little motivation for airlines like to BA to move quickly.

Yes I have - and I agree! The new United Club is like a "lite" version of the Polaris Lounge. Nothing like the old United Club.

First subway I ever rode was BART Green Line on the A/B fleet from South Hayward to Embarcadero Station in the early 1990s. Now, BART is 100% new Fleet Of The Future. Goodbye the classic BART cars '72-'24

If you want to see the Legacy Bart train again, you could go to Universal Studio Hollywood and see it at stage 50, on the studio tram tour.

Nicely done, Ben! Missed running into you yesterday! I'm so das that BART could not keep a set stashed away after all this to trot out for future special occasions. There is a ton of history in these cars, never to run again.

Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately BART didn't keep a set for special occasions. Though a set of A-B-C cars will be saved and on display at the Western Railway Museum.

Great turn out! They should save some for movie making. If they could increase safety at certain stations and parking lots ridership would definitely go up.

Excellent as always, Ben! I will try to catch some video from Bayfront Park. Do you know the flight number or estimated time over the numbers? I like getting the taxiing shots as well, and I’m hoping that Hawaiian is still using the “A” Gates? I had to put everything on hold the last few years, but I try to jump in here when I see one of your videos. I don’t know if you recall, but I flew on a UAL brand new 787-10 from SFO to EWR, and back to SFO the next early evening. The trip was not the destination, it was the flight. 😁 I flew in what I would call Int’l First Class, but I think UAL called it Polaris Business. That confuses so many people, myself included. The cabin configuration on my flight is almost identical to HAL’s First. It was a very comfortable trip, and it all went without a hitch. Good luck! I’m sure it will be great! Aloha 🍹 🍍 🌺 🐠

Aloha Andy! The inaugural flight will be HA12 on April 15th and is scheduled to arrive at SFO at 9:15 pm. Yes, they do park at Terminal A.
