Im a 51 year old white guy, and this is one of my favorite rap albums. Folks are sleeping on this Funkadelic fueled, afrocentric banger.

We The People was my one of son's first favorite songs when he was 2. Watching him say 'Shithole!' is something I'll always remember. I had the video and SNL performance downloaded for him to watch and even got him a Tribe t-shirt. The Anderson .Paak Kendrick and Andre features are definite highlights. The insrumental end of Conrad Tokyo always gets turned up.

Maturing is asking yourself if It Was Written was better than Illmatic or if ATLiens was better than Aquemini even if you never change your mind.

Lupe is my favorite rapper. Ever since hearing his narrative on The Cool i knew dude was different and he continually proves me right with every release.

This album is awesome, at the same time it's hardcore, chill and grimey.

I've been listening to HS since back in the day and let me tell, Nocturnal is hands down one of the most underrated albums.

It’s crazy how much hip hop and rap content gets pumped out every year. I took on a challenge of my own where I tried to listen to every hip hop project that dropped this year. I ended up listening to 210 and yet there was at least 20 projects in your list that I totally missed. Hip Hop is certainly not dead

This is probably the LP I have played the most in my lifetime. Yes it doesn't have the finesse or complexities of Paul's Boutique, but for me this is quintessential Beastie Boys. Raw, hard beats, clever playful lyrics and delivery. Fight For Your Right and Girls are my two least favorite tracks on the album, I skip those. But everything else is quality. My top 3 tracks are The New Style (ATF), Paul Revere and Posse in Effect.

Im just loving your channel, dude. I grew up around literal corn fields and started digging hip hop around 12 years old (93). No one around me understood it, but thanks to arsenio hall and soul train and in living color, i was turned onto (and loved) it. My era faves? Gang starr, beasties, tribe called quest, nas, mobb deep. Plenty of g funk i adore too, but the grimy style of new york rap always hit me harder. Keep the work up!

Thank you so much man, it’s so cool to get to connect to people from all over doing this, and I totally feel the same way, I love Hip Hop from all over but I think I’ll always have a bit of a soft spot for the grimy, 90’s NY Boom Bap
