I don't feel the "heavyness" in the movements, seems like MSFS, moves like a cessna on taxi and during the final approach. Let's hope they give it a heavy feel in the final version.

What hardware are you using? I am using a thrustmaster TCA Boeing yoke and the aircraft definitely feels heavy to me :) the taxiing physics do need a bit of work thought as it's quite snappy.

Hi Drish another great video. I am using simheaven Europe combined with my first go at Ortho4xp. I selected Global Scenery location on Main Menu, chose a tile on the Globe but did not use Batch Build, Inserted folder locations in Settings, then went to Preview Params and installed ZL 17, 18 and 19 areas. I selected Save zone, Apply and Exit, then Main Menu and selected All in one and Exit. Ran X-lane11, modified INI file and scenery was great but when I went back into Ortho4xp to add new areas my tile was missing. Any idea how to add extra areas within the tile?

Hey, did you select the base folder again? If not then select the base folder on the main menu to wherever your already generates tile is. I hope that makes sense :)

Good stuff, I love your content! My guess is you tuned to the ILS of the opposite runway. Hence the reversed Loc and why you were set too high

Thanks :) I'm quite familiar with EGNX as it's my local so I know for sure the ils freq and course were correct. The ils freq is the same from both side of the runway anyway. I'm sure the issue is a bug with the 777v2 as I've flown that ils at least 10 times in the 777 before aha. Though your guess is probably what I would be thought if it was an unfamiliar airport. :)

Thank you! :) That's just because the camera was quite far away and I zoomed in on the plane so MSFS reduced the detail of the mountains. I might need to increase my LOD aha :)

As far as I know the new version of map enhancement has a completely different install so unfortunately my video wouldn't work. Since then I have moved to autoortho and I am not familiar with the new install method. Sorry about that...

On the throttle there are two buttons facing the front of the aircraft, those are your toga buttons. You can also use a keybind "autopilot take-off go around"

For no reason, I record with OBS and Lossless scaling with no problems. But when I look into the replay, it lags very badly. Don't know why, but I never had that issue in the first place.

@DrishalMAC2 Yes, also... but if I upload the lagged video in draft (it doesn't matter what visibility), the footage is normal without any single lags. It may be my computer, the OBS set up, or something...

waw, 2min in and already some major bugs... like not being able to enter POS ICAO code of departure airport is so red flag. It seems like the developper will just do some little adjutments. Comparing that to the Alpha of 777V2 of FF where the devs fix these kind of bugs in seconds...

Yes I was quite dissapointed with how it performed on this stream. A lot of the issues I had on this stream I did not have previously during my test flights. Later on in the stream I switched to the 777V2 and the difference is crazy aha.blooking forward to the 787 updates as I do see potential, but only if all of these bugs are fixed and some other things are improved.

The fact that develloppers start to going faster and faster with realese (ex: 777V2, Toliss A330, etc...) I'm feeling like A day or an other we'll have FF giving us a big kick with a sick 787

Yes I think most of us are waiting for the 787 from FF anyway to be honest after seeing just how good the 777v2 is. But it really depends on who MagKnights new secret partner is aha :)

Oh boy, this can't be good. I'm surprised to see a stream of this garbage plane. Other than an uninspiring experience....my experience never finished. The only aircraft in my Xplane fleet which caused crashes.

Yes I do hope they update and fix the aircraft as I do see some potential. My previous two flights I did off stream were actually quite fun, even with all the bugs and issues.

@@DrishalMAC2 Haha that's a feeling I completely understand! Some years ago, before having a dedicated gpu, I was doing a normal flight with the Zibo 737 and boom, the sim crashed from nowhere! It was the first time happening and it actually never happened again thankfully :)

Hey Drishal (I'm indeed looking to have the best fps possible haha x), is it great for VR ? I've tried using FSR but it looks HORRIBLE in VR haha, any thoughts ?

I'm not too sure if this works in VR. Some people reported it does and some report it doesn't. Sorry I couldn't be of more help aha. Lossless will work very well for regular monitors though :)

Haha yes the pub :) I'm sure Tai can include it if you request it. Regarding the visual, while I agree they are not up to the standard of MSFS, I find the visual (with some tweaks and addons) look sufficient and actually quite good at times. X-Plane really is more of a training simulator and I have found it incredibly useful during my PPL training. That being said, MSFS still continues to blow me away with its visual, even 4 years after its release. :)

When I use OBS it uncaps my frames, and it shows weird numbwrs like 120/144 or when playing media shows like 70/75. Its buttery smooth at 30/60 when not capturing using OBS.

Are you sure your not scaling OBS rather than your sim / game? OBS shouldn't affect whether or not your frames are capped for your game or simulator. When playing media in OBS you should even see lossless scaling as you aren't scaling the media. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any more questions :)

At the moment I prefere autoortho. As map enhancement got updated for me it slowly got worse, the quality was really bad, I had terrain missing and it would spike my cpu usage quite high, causing temperature issues. With autoortho I don't have any of these issues and it works quite well for me :) hope this helps!

No worries :) Yes I have found the imagery with autoortho to be much higher quality than map enhancement. I also get 0 performance impact with autoortho and no stutters at all on my pc.

In my opinion yes, the tree placement is much more accurate and the variation in tree models themselves are quite good. I do plane to release a video comparing default trees, global forests and simheaven forests :)

Just tried it and it worked wonderfully! So smooth now. Had to turn off desktop record on GeForce Experience to get Shadowplay to record, but that is no big deal at all. The difference is night and day! Truly fantastic!! Thx!!
