I wonder who voted Hyams the best beach. It is a nice beach but so are most of the others around Jervis Bay. Parking can be a struggle in peak season.

We visited several beaches around Jervis Bay and found Hyams to be our favourite by far. We visit during the shoulder season to avoid disappointment with parking and crowds.

I can't seem to find a vegan & they just thought that they could find me in the Newcastle area of New South Wales, it seems like they're a Walmsley whose a Bee. I am wondering if those Smithers are really a vegan or not, they're wondering why I haven't been buying plant based food when someone came to Tomago Aluminiums gatehouse & asked them , they just said that I can't get them there !

Carrum is another nice beach. I find Chelsea beach to be a bit on the cooler side. Rosebud and Tootgarook are usually warmer. This time of the year is great, before the kids finish school and the school holidays, especially on the Mornington Peninsula. Shoreham is great, and you can explore the rock pools at the back beaches like Bridgewater Bay or Cape Schanck. There are so many beaches to explore.

BOM says Melbourne could be seeing one of the hottest summers on record. I mean HOT. Potentially 45 degree days. Only 7 days cracked 45 degrees in Melbourne, including its suburbs. January 13, 1939: 45.6 C CBD January 31, 1968: 45.8 C Essendon January 25, 2003: 45.0 C Laverton January 30, 2009: 45.1 C CBD February 7, 2009: 47.5 C Laverton January 25, 2019: 46.0 C Melbourne Airport December 20, 2019: 45.2 C Essendon And if anyone’s in Essendon, Laverton, or Melbourne Airport, watch the hell out. They are the hottest suburbs in Melbourne.

I couldn't be bothered going to the beach a lot of the time because the closest beach is Newcastle beach which is 40 Kilometres away & about a 50 minute drive with all of the traffic 🚦 that I have to go through to get there. In the U.K. some Brits go to the beach during summer time during a 16°C day which is more like our winter is over here In Newcastle, people do surf on a winters day which is that cold but they wear a wetsuit. I know what you mean about living in a sheltered home because when I went on a date with a girl one night 30 years ago my mother told me never to do that again but it was the best thing that I did. So I didn't turn out like their neighbours son who literally bought some moisturizer from a supermarket in Newcastle & he chased a girl with it because he wanted to moisturize her feet. So I am not the person they try to keep the hell away from !
@reallifefuntopia8273Ай бұрын
You could drive to the beach on alternate weekends as a special getaway, that way it breaks up the daily grind and the sea gives you that feeling unlike any other.
@ArcheryGuy2Ай бұрын
been there people say Melbourne has dirty beaches the water isn't good and such but when I went there I was so confused and amazed at the same time
@reallifefuntopia8273Ай бұрын
The reasons why people look down on Melbourne beaches are not surprising or uncommon. Rain events, excess seaweed, lack of waves, and cold water are familiar issues with beaches everywhere. Put simply, one plans for the beach, checking the latest weather and live beach cams to avoid disappointment, not just turning up and letting everyone know about their crappy day at the beach!

I know,I can't marry a Jenner whose a Sutherland who doesn't like the fact that I eat fruit. It's mango 🥭 season now & it's the time of year I look forward to but they don't,I'm interested in eating fruit because it's better than living off McDonald's food like one of them does. That's why I am looking forward to planting my mango,fig, papaya,Cherimoya, Black Sapote, peach, nectarine,plum,etc trees in the ground as well as my banana and pineapple 🍍 plants. I would like to buy a dehydrator so I can preserve that fruit so it saves me eating biscuits, etc, that sort of Jenner isn't getting I'm off for that reason !

Jumped into Sydney harbour's Balmoral Beach last week for the first swim of the season and water temp was 18c. Very doable but do prefer 20c+. Good for the immune system. Safety beach on the Mornington Pen last year in late Dec felt like 18c-19c as well.
@reallifefuntopia8273Ай бұрын
18C is very doable, especially with no wind and full sun. We love Sydney's coastal beaches but have not discovered any in the harbour. Mornington Pen is equally superb, but an hour's drive each way from our home.

Its changed so much, we rented half a house (down stairs part ) in 1974 it cost $38 a week but had to mow the lawns, garbage out, keep outside tidy. worked cutting cane, 6 days a week spent the rest of our time chasing chicks. 😇

Next Monday is supposed to get up to 31°C in my area (Newcastle NSW) or Seaham to be specific, Today it's 24°C perhaps due to being partially cloudy, next Tuesday I mentioned that we're going to have a freak 17°C day then it will pick up to about 21°C on Wednesday. The reason that I wouldn't move away from my area besides having a nice climate & my town is a nice place to live is because my immediate family lives in the lower Hunter region of New South Wales & apparently a company is managing to be able to Tee up some work for me locally. I could move up to Mullumbimby or Byron Bay way because my dads side of the family lives up there but that also means leaving my immediate family members behind &: it's harder to get work up there. Even my uncle had to catch a train from Mullumbimby to Kyogle then catch a bus to Urbenville when he was working as a wildlife park ranger before his back injury & before he died of prostate cancer in 2009. It was a 250 Kilometre trip one way from Mullumbimby which was a pain because he wasn't home for most of the time because he would have to stay in a cabin which was supplied to him by the National Parks & Wildlife service of NSW !
