This is a good way and i tried it but it only works on healthy coconuts i accidentally bought an expired one that had no juice in it and was eaten inside like from a worm :(

I would say 1-2 weeks. 3 weeks may be pushing it and the lemons quality would begin to deteriorate after 2.

My attempts to follow this video went poorly. Firstly, after corkscrewing 2 holes in it, there was no water in my coconut at all. Then, no amount of hitting with a knife or bashing it on a kerb would seem to break it. I ended up driving over it with the hire car here in Spain. That got it open. 😂

Only problem with this video: when you bake the coconut (to get it out of the shell) you destroy the living enzymes that are most critical to the coconut's nutritive value.

Thx for this great video. I love the coconut water and always so much of it was wasted when we cracked it open with a hammer. Using the corkscrew is a brilliant idea.

I can not stress this enough. Putting your coconut in the oven is a terrible idea. The creamy nuanced of a fresh coconut meat will be ruined.
