Excellent my friend!👏👏👏👏👏 Yes like others commented. You showed exactly the perfect angle for the proper maintenance. I myself have used the air duster can's to keep everything dust and debris clear. Yes a car fanatic lol. Have a pristine 2006 300 limited. 112000 original on this beast. Twice a year also lubricant every piece of rubber with pure silicone spray. Especially the rubber sunroof seal. Just like us maintenance is key. Thankyou for a superb job for an OCD car guy. Obsessive Car Disorder!😂🤙

I have a 2013 Corolla. Water pooled up on the floor, so I opened my sunroof and poured in a cup of water, which sat stagnant. I poked around the front drain holes with a paperclip, and all the water drained out through the bottom by the front tires. Thanks for the video, it helped me immensely!

I would say no--there are many comments below about this--unless it is already partially dislodged. Also, as shown in the video, it is not an essential part of there unclogging process, and should not be done until after clearing out the debris causing the clog...thx!✌

Does the door handle need to be unlocked or locked before removing it? Or does it matter? Thanks!

@@Chilloutdesert well, the door has to be open in order to access the locking screw, so there would be no need to lock the door. Usually I would say all handles should be unlocked first, good luck. Are you not able to unlock the door?

@@Chilloutdesert yes, I just remember the one thing on this one to be aware of is; to loosen the locking screw you turn to it clockwise. So it is clockwise to loosen, counterclockwise to tighten when reinstalling the handle.✌️

It's been a while since I've seen one of these handles, but I just re-watched the video and I'm thinking it might be pretty dicey trying to take this one apart. I'm sure it can be painted someway though, everything can be done at varying levels of satisfaction. Good luck to you!

@@eldigitom9680 my one has wonky electronics and there's one available on eBay but wrong colour of course. Other option is to swap the electronics but that might not be possible either. Ah I'll just wait for a right-colour one I think!

Just saying, you can also install a sort of gate to prevent large particles from entering the tube. A bit harder but just takes some measuring and cutting really.

Thank you! I just replaced the back window in my 2003 F150 using your instruction. FYI folks, don't drop those 9mm nuts down behind the sheet metal stampings--they are not retrievable, even with a magnet. Have to go buy a couple at the dealer now.

Really good video that has a lot of detail that other videos don't have. I have the rear door handle lights to replace on a 2026 RS6. The mech looks very similar and in the morning i'll have another go - this time pushing the locking nut back in/out to lock the release lever/handle position. Didn't see this mentioned else where before and it's likely to solve my problem, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

oh yes, good luck. I've been in that situation before and was forced--through need--to find that workaround. You'll find the same procedure necessary in several other door handle styles (especially German).✌

@@eldigitom9680 Yes, The detail you added should make the difference as I cant get the handle to locate back on the lug on the release lever during reassembly, Thanks again and I'll drop a further note here tomorrow with results.

careful. I wouldn't use air. Those hoses have been known to blow off if they're getting old. Just clean the drain hole then pour some windshield washer fluid down the drain. Just a little, like half a cup.

I agree with that, I've emphasized it many times in the comments below--that air is not necessary for cleansing the hoses. But it's also an exaggeration that it will damage them, definitely should not be done before the clog is removed though.

CANNOT thank you enough for this video. I’m embarrassed to say how long we spent trying to put a handle back in because like dufus’ we removed it incorrectly and could not figure out how to reassemble it. But as you so clearly showed you have to “reset” the mechanism.

@@Carlos-pintorcarro yes, I was having the same problem beginning of last year. Could only get 3-4 hours out of each belt I was buying from Amazon. Tried several things but what fixed it was buying a genuine Toro belt. This one has lasted over a year, there really is a difference in quality OEM replacement belts. These can be found on Amazon by the way just make sure it’s genuine Toro.

I'm having this issue, but my sunroof doesn't even work so I have no access to it. It leaks on both sides, as well as the back and is only getting worse.

I'm sorry to hear that, but you're probably going to have some mechanical costs to fix that problem. I'm always quick to tell anyone who will hear, 'never buy a car with a sunroof'. The benefits do not outweigh the nuisances.

@@SallyLanger-rd6ew One viewer left a comment recently, where he used a condiment squeeze bottle filled with water to push the water through the tube. However, usually the only thing necessary is to scrape the debris from around the opening of the drain hole. The forced air is really an optional follow up after the drain has been cleared. It should never be used before the drain is cleared. Good luck!✌️

Try the method shown in the video, by pouring a small glass of water into the front corner drain area. Wait a few seconds to see if it drains quickly. It should, but if not try the procedure shown. good luck

@@dadthefixerflorida good luck, my friend! I hasten to add that 90% of the time the only thing needed is to scrape the muck away to expose the drain hole opening. Hardly ever is it necessary to run a line down into the drain tube. Hope this helps.✌️

I used a piece of round trummer line also, lol!!! I also used a condiment squeeze bottle with water in it to squirt water into the drain openings.

In the video I was using precut 18.5" long 0.155 inch replacement trimmer line. You can find it in stores like Lowe's or Walmart.

Careful with the compredd air. If the drain is still clogged, you can rip a hole in the tubing.

Yes, as stated at 1:40 in the video, compressed air is not necessary for unclogging. It is only used to clear any small remaining residue in the line.
