I’d pick a different windmill to tilt at . . . First of all, Tom Cotton is very popular in this very conservative state - and his popularity has only increased as he’s served. In pragmatic terms, Cotton’s close relationship with Trump can only serve to help Arkansas was for the next four years. Image matters. Arkansas is not only “Dukes of Hazard” country, folks take pride in that image. A common T-Shirt reads “I hear banjos - paddle faster!” You may be the greatest person ever, but no one will ever look at you and think “good ol’ boy.”
