I think that's the culprit.When it comes to my hair my hair is not shedding at all but I do comb my hair every four days because I keep it up in a bun and I do change the position on my bun. My main thing is trying to keep the ends of my hair hydrated.And trimmed other than that I don't think I have a problem with my hair at all.Thank you ever so kindly for your teachings.They are jewel sent❤❤❤❤❤❤

How comes your hair looks natural here? The ends, I mean. I'm guessing this was before you relaxed the other day, but that doesn't explain why your ends look natural. You have lots of texture too; is it because you only use your hands to smooth the relaxer? But you use super strength so it's a bit hard for me to wrap my head around all this 😅

Agreed! My goal is to get 18 inches of hair by December 2025 so to do so, I am keeping my hair in protective style (cornrows, braids) constantly, and keeping them in for 6-8 weeks at a time. The only downside is that my new growth is a force to be reckoned with from month 3 post onwards, but besides that, all is well😅

Gorgeous as always people don't understand that you not straightening it because less is more or less heat less manipulation lots of stretching and protective styles. I'm sure you will enjoy your hair for at least a month before you put it away

Not really. Protective styling helped a lot to minimize manipulation. And when I did comb it, I made sure to be gentle most of the times

You don’t wash your hair in a protective hair styles you oil your hair once a month carry your protective hairstyle for 2 months take it down use a hair oil while taken out your 2 months protective hair style with a rat tail comb finger detangle comb with a wide to comb to remove the shredded hair then shampoo after deep condition rinse your hair use a blow dryer on low heat that how you take out your protective hair style that’s what I do after I have had my relaxed hair in a protective hairstyle also I give me hair a break before getting another protective hair Style you should try it and that’s how I grew my relaxed hair

I had this same issue with my last relaxer. I stopped using it and switched to my current relaxer, after which my hair gradually became darker again. Stretching my relaxers also helped. You can try these.

I applied them separately, left them on each for about 40 mins and then washed them off

I find that I'm sometimes very hesitant to detangle my hair because of shedding, possible breakage and so forth. My hair is healthy and isn't breaking but I still feel this way, especially since I shed quite a bit. Do you ever feel this way?

Hair sheds normally everyday and this isn't affected by detangling. Breakage is what can result from improper detangling. I don't really feel scared to detangle my hair. Infact, I look forward to my detangling routines, lol. I just try to be gentle as much as I can and just enjoy the process 🙂

@@Hairlistabomb I feel you! But when I start dealing with my hair, I feel long strands on my arm and the back of my legs, and there's lots of long strands on the floor and in my comb when I comb my hair. It's very annoying to clean up. Despite that, my hair doesn't seem to be thinning

It could just be normal shedding. Normally, we shed about 10 to 100 strands of hair per day. So, if the amount you're shedding is within this range, you're good.

I am 8 months in my relaxer stretch and about to change my protective style to as i make my way to the one year mark. Im starting my daughter off with a six month relaxer streatch, which is 4 months in, and i changed her protective style for two months before relaxing her hair, and i can wait for our relaxer day😊

I'm 11 months post relaxing soon but once you master how to handle your hair it'll be a breeze. Keeping it in sections & stretch kept my Bra strap length hair

Sense hair is so long and thick Would you consider shortening your Stretches to know more than 14 weeks. I got concerned for both your hair and your skin. Hair looks fabulous

You did it girl. I extended my relaxing time for about 6 months and the new growth was whiled however I couldn't retain the big length because it got crazy detangle. But what I have now is very promising and I hope to get a good shampoo to keep going. See you at the top❤
