I love these old corvette info shows. I was in my early 20’s at this time. Loved the end of the c3 models but way too expensive for a kid. I’m in my 60’s now and own a 81 c3 with 20k miles and a true original survivor I love that car almost as much as my family

Love this! The C4 was over the top for its time but somehow became one of the least respected generations of Corvette. It pretty much saved the car. I’ve owned my 88 35th Anniversary car for over 22 years and it throws me back to the 80’s whenever I drive it. When I want to throw time back even further I drive my 71 LS5 4 spd Coupe. Couldn’t be happier to see the advancements with the C8. The Corvette is true automotive history.

This is actually an *excellent* explanation of how NTSC video and color spaces work, from what I can decipher of the Japanese peppered with english loaner words. I was amused that they said "shirominance and kurominance" - mostly because in English, we call 'shirominance' "luminance" - but shiroi is a word for 'white' so it pretty much works here. They basically mean lightness and darkness, but with a strange anglo-japanese hybrid term. More confusingly still, 'kurominance' appears to refer to the black levels here (kuroi being a word for 'black'), but 'kurominance' sounds exactly like 'chrominance' which is the color element of a picture. So because I'm a much better English speaker than a Japanese one, it actually made things more confusing for me for a minute as I tried to pick apart what they were saying.

I loved my '94 Ranger hauled 3k lbs. Of ball bearings 180 miles one time, and the rear suspension still had a half inch short of the stop. It was. An emergency run to keep a factory running and no other vehicle available. Had that truck 12 years. Utterly dependable. But I obviously needed a bigger truck.

By the looks of the wheels on this red Corvette it appears to be one of the 83 's . All of them were destroyed on the lot of the Bowling Green assembly plant . All except one . The story of the only 83 and how it came to be can be seen at the NCM website . The white 83 now resides at the NCM and was given to the museum by Chevrolet . A really cool story about the 83 and the events that preserved it . Actually search here on KZbin for the story of the only remaining 1983 Corvette .

Who built those discs? How common were they? Information online is pretty thin
@PixelshadesArchive2 жыл бұрын
Discs were made by pioneer as far as I can tell, and there were less than 50 of the recorders ever made, all of which were leased and returned to Pioneer at some point. As for the rarity of the discs, I'd say there's a few hundred at least floating around, I've personally owned 3.
