@41:24 Paul mentioned about a chap that said he couldn't understand what was being said, and could he put subtitles in so it would be clearer. I was following the transcript because I was struggling with the same, and the transcript was so far off it made me laugh like crazy! So auto generated CC not likely to be helpful but good for a laugh. The Dogs Bollocks!!

Hi Paul just getting back into sea fishing and found your you tube channel currently working my way through the rig tying section. I’ve bought some bits from Trident (clever lad that Gary). I have been watching you tying droppers on to those amazing power swivels and I have a tip for you from my many years of freshwater fishing. When you are going to use a piece of silicone tubing to help the dropper stand off don’t cut the tag end short you should leave it almost as long as the tubing and slide the tubing over the tag end and the dropper line and on to the swivel. Two lines inside the silicone makes it much stiffer. Hope this helps. Keep up the good work. Alan Whitfield

Love this channel. Been watching for about 5 yrs now. Always a pleasure picking up new ideas, then modifying/innovating my rigs to custom setup for various environments and fish target species.

It is impossible to get a good enough flat surface when cutting a rubber ball. spent a lot of time and money searching for a bloody rubber ball. Just make a mold and fill it with silicone, all this fafing about with rubber balls. LOL

Revisited again, coincidentally after I had used a Kicker to hold an African designed Dingle - Dangle, made a light one with 20lb coated wire trace. To fit the Kicker, made a loop using Trident crimps, one to crimp the loop each end and at the Kicker attached 2 more crimps in the loop to form a right angle in the loop, these were just squeezed flat. Worked a treat, had tried the Roto, but not as good as the Kicker, Cheers Pat

well its all looking like its new to the market BUT as YOU said the best item on the market is the Gemini solo splashdown clip, its awesome, if you have problems with your sinker coming off then put a gemini 100lb swivel on the solo clip then use a gemini lead clip to attach your lead that way you will never lose a lead. the only thing that trident set up is doing is competing against the breakaway imp so I hope it does well against a well established company although I"ll be surprised if it does.

I have never seen an up and over rig with crimps on, in my eyes all crimps do is weaken the rig body as that line isn't designed to be squashed as that then becomes a weak point, also I've never seen a genie clip used like that except on a pully dropper and again without crimps. An up and over rig is basically "when it unhooks" a glorified running ledger. I understand everyone has there own version of each rig and I appreciate you have your own way and I'm NOT rubbishing the design of yours but I do it do differently and your reminds me of a 'FIXED" up and over which no doubt it is.

Gidday from Downunder, love ya videos, humour and that famous knot, I've got some trident gear, but not the kicker yet. Something I do with the Hangover is instead of crimping to hold the the beads in place, I clamp the bead with the smallest available cable tie, comes in black or white we're not racist, pull as hard as possible onto the bead and clip the tag off . Advantage being if you get a bite off, we get heaps of toothy critters , you can tie a new hook on and slide adjust the Hangover to suit. Cheers, Pat

Works real well with the hook tied onto the snood via a loop, ie a surgeons loop or perfection loop etc and the hair attached to the bend of the hook. 300lb braid hair, loop in the end of it, can use whatever bait you like then. Squid, fish, crab, worm too.

Like this rig and defo be giving it ago as I am fed up with especially the doggies swallowing all the bait and either loosing hooks or bending them. I would prefer to put the fish back knowing its going to live and not die because of a hook in its belly. And as always a brilliant vid mate. I ha e learnt alot from you so thank you very much.

nice video marra, been sea fishing for 50 years ( my first time was off of the end of the pier at seaham with my uncle george back in the early 70s ) . that tip about the bait elastic running through the handle of the three pronged bait thingy was genius , stops all the crap on your hands rotting the elastic , brilliant . will definitely be checking out the seaflo hooks as well . keep the vids coming..

🤣But you didn't make an Imp, you made an overly complicated rig clip. There's a reason for imps and that's a virtually guaranteed hook release. Comparing apples to oranges.

Does anyone actually know where to get hold of Blue Marlin now , been looking around for the last few weeks and simply cant find it
@SandmansTackleTime1 Жыл бұрын
Blue Marlin was only ever available as far as I know at UK Hooks. Unfortunately, UK Hooks is history due to the death of its owner Mike. I hear rumors of a shop down south that went to auction and bought the remaining stock from UK Hooks. If you wish to look into that theory then please join Sandmans Tackle Time Facebook Group and look for the post on there. It is full of information that you may need. Good luck
@Geneticlyinsane1 Жыл бұрын
@@SandmansTackleTime1 I'll do that as Im actually from down south and just across the water from where UK hooks was , I did read somewhere that the guy had sadly passed away but hoped it had been taken on by someone else , thanks for the heads up and i'll hop on to the facebook page when i get a chance
