My first concert at age 16. Saw him many times after that and watched shy young boy develop into an amazing artist. "Tumbleweed Connection" is my all time favorite. The friendship between Bernie and Elton was amazing. The benefit he did for his bandmate Davy Johnstone in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry House (I was there), outdoor sit down on a towel concerts and indoor packed to the rafters -- they were all extraordinary.

Well, maybe the album is terrible and most of the songs too, maybe this song isn't one of his best songs, however its funny to listen, so 80s, its a good song, no a classic, but stills a good song.

@@jamesnoble3502 Sure, I think the problem with "Leather Jackets" is because the sound is so cheesy, so different from Elton's style, its a failed try to make 80s music because it sounds like a lot of songs of the time, nothing new, the lyrics doesn't make sense, the album its overproduced, there's a lot of synthesizers and it was made at time when Elton's health wasn't okay, he had a lot of problems in his voice. Leather Jackets for me was only made it to complete his contract of 6 albums. Thats why because its so bad, he didn't care the quality of the album. Of course this album its much better than Victim Of Love.

This human had so much talent and ability to tell a story, and grab everyone's attention. Don't care what his lifestyle was , but as for me he's Sir Elton, I'm 65yrs old and I've been there with him all these years and ain't going to leave him now
