R.I.P. Guy Babylon (Elton John - Man)

Guy understood Elton's music so well and was a phenomenally insightful musician. A comparatively reclusive performer, Guy faithfully programmed and replicated complex string lines and lead arpeggios live to bring Elton's music to life on the concert stage. He was a massive inspiration to me as a keyboard player and will be sorely sorely missed. God bless you Guy from another keys player. Max

Awesome arrangement. I saw him with Elton in 1988 at the USF Sundome(his alma mater), just starting out with Elton... and 3 times already this year. He will be sorely missed by all.

This song (Man) was the first I've heard when I read the tragic news - and back then, it all started for me with the Made In England-Album with all those wonderful Guy-Babylon-Arrangements !! Thanx Guy for many concerts between 30 June 1998 and 5 July 2009 ... can't believe it ....

I didn't realize he had died. I was just looking up "Man" on KZbin. So sorry to hear, my condolences to his family and friends.... I saw him play in Elton's back-up band in 1988, 89, 94, 95, and 98. Great musician, will be sorely missed....
