As a mangareader I always find this episode particularly interesting to watch, because that little tidbit about Levi that Kenny drops either goes entirely unnoticed, or it just rocks everything that was planned to be said. Also glad that there was only a few seconds of the ED because I know I'm not the only person who can't listen to it anymore thanks to episode 12.

The flaw with gangle's character is her masks are 1 emotion happy and sad so when she was over using her happy mask she just had that feeling when her humanity peaked through it messed with her characters head because unlike human emotions her emotions are 1 noted happy or sad of what mask she has on. us as humans go through emotions everyday because till this point have we ever seen gangle happy no because of her frown mask thats just the major flaw with her character.

This made me love Zuko more cause if he fucks with you he going to war with you. Love him.

Armin has already done so many amazing things up to now, such as creating the plan to retake Trost, figuring out the identity of the Female Titan but it's this episode. This episode where Armin sticks to his words of needing to abandon even your humanity in order to change anything is the reason why he's my favourite character. I'll never forget that moment where it's revealed he pulled the trigger. He's just such an amazing character.

I'm fascinated by the implication that one of the movies Anne had already downloaded to her phone was ersatz My Dinner With Andre.

This episode impacted me more than I thought it would. As someone who has put up a facade to get people to like me or hide my feelings, it genuinely hurt when someone not only had an issue with my true self, but also with the well-crafted persona I put together. Not to mention the amount of pressure it took to keep that persona going was emotionally taxing. Just like Gangle, the mask just kept breaking, getting fixed, and breaking again. It felt like nothing I did made people happy, so I'm glad this was addressed in this series.
