the problem is the design is intended for steel manufacturing. cutting steel sheet and bend. you need a different approach for 3d printing as it’s entirely a different set of stress

Uhm im wondering how long would it last since it is plastic so it would be worn down pretty quickly
@mrcmoes6 сағат бұрын
I was wondering the same thing. I have seen the same device made out of scrap wood wood last years and years, not sure what advantage a 3d printed one would have
@brentspellmeyer89436 сағат бұрын
If someone printed one for you for 3 dollars would you take chance to test it out? Or print yourself if you print ?
@Raymond-17125 сағат бұрын
@@brentspellmeyer8943 yea ill print it myself but i meant, its not the kind which would last for years

Who are you talking to? Sounds like a district attorney. What are you confessing to? I'm just saying your tone of voice is not appealing. Sounds like your dog died. If you're serious at all about marketing, make changes. You should be talking in a friendly tone to a friend.

Is there an advantage to this compared to just printing more traditional looking tweezers in one piece?
@DarthWoodrackКүн бұрын
The springing effect you get with metal tweezers or these would not be present. Now, that isn’t technically necessary, but it would essentially become chopsticks after a few uses with how brittle this plastic is. Source: Designing and producing chip clips for personal use
@bacon.cheesecake22 сағат бұрын
@@DarthWoodrack 3d prints aren't that brittle if you use a decent, dry pla, tweezers also don't need to flex much at all, they go from barely open to closed through a pretty long part. Chip clips need to flex way more, especially the locking latch on them, although you might be using a different design than what I've seen.

Dont use pla for things you want to last, only for drafts. In a few years, it will just fall apart.. I rebuilt several 3d printers around 2010, and they all fell apart at the same time.
