Thank you... Have you created a DIY for replacing this part? While your fix worked, a complete failure of the board is not out of the question... Thanks again!

I have been toying with this idea on my bmw e9. I am always concerned about equipment failure and might add a manual release to disengage the actuator so I can manually open it also.

Thank you soooo much. I called the samsung customer service line, they told me that i could schedule a service call for $160.00. That was just for the service person to come to my house, then depending on what parts were needed i would be paying another $130 or more. Thank you for saving me $290.00.

I MOUNT MINE WHERE THE OLD HOOD PROP WAS BUT DONT LIKE IT THERE IS YOURS MOUNTED BELOW MASTER CLYINDER ?
@clydew21442 жыл бұрын
I actually try mounting mine by the original hood prop, but I did not like it as well. What I did is get a L bracket and mounted it on the wheel well (its definitely strong enough) and mounted the actuator on the bracket and that worked fine.

Where can I purchase one for my truck?
@clydew21442 жыл бұрын
Amazon or eBay have them just search linear actuators. Look for a size that suited your truck
I used the existing hasps that was on the tool box. . Just used the wire wheel to clean them up

I have the same tool box, but I will just keep it as it is. Remove the surface rust and keep cleaning it and storing it in a dry place. But, I may put some paint on the areas where the old paint is gone after removing the rust.
