I had two tickets to this show. I live in Los Angeles. I had third row just off center. Missed it. This was the third show I missed this tour after already having the tickets. The hotel reservations. And air fare. Don't even wanna say much more. In 2016, I made it to all three Los Angeles shows. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The difference? I was just over a year and a half sober in March 2016, when he came to town. In 2023, when he was in Portland, Oregon and I got the two tickets for the first of the three shows I would eventually miss, ( February 2023, Portland, Oregon. April Columbus, Ohio. August Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. All three shows I had tickets, hotel and airfare. Except Portland. My partner and I were gonna drive from Los Angeles in my Benz) I was neck high fucked in fentanyl and methamphetamine addiction. Ooooops. Don't tell me it's cool. Rock and Roll is cool. Always will be. Addiction ain't never cool. Never will be. I'm still hooked. I sold my Benz to survive. I got me a mint condition 2010 Black Nissan Pathfinder. I live in it with my absolutely adorable Mini-pin, Strummer, named after the deceased leader of the Clash, Joe Strummer. Life's ok. Gets cold at night now though. I'm seriously thinking of getting into a rehab soon. Like in the next few weeks. Pray for me. Besides living again. I have no intentions of putting my doggie through this crap anymore. And I have really no intentions of missing another Springsteen show ever again. I've seen him 20x since my first time in 1980 on Halloween night at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. My big brother took me. I was 13, he was 18. Yep. Pray for me and Strummer please. God bless you all and keep rocking.
