Those lyrics bring tears to my eyes every time that I hear them, especially as we approach the upcoming Presidential election. Hopefully, Democracy will survive and these words will still ring true.

That whole verse sums up the idea of America, the ideal of America and expectations of America all in a few short lines and after all these years I agree that it makes my eyes well up on the gut punch line "who we are, what we'll do and what we won't."

I have been a fan of Springsteen’s music since 1980. He hasn’t put out a good album in 35 years. He became something he disliked 40 years ago. A very rich washed up greedy hypocrite, and I paid a lot of money to see him, some 26 times. Today, I wouldn’t give 10 cents to watch him live - a puppet for the democrat party. Bruce, you broke a lot of hearts including mine.
