you people pay them hundreds of dollars to tell them what you already know, they are absolute scamming you and you enjoy it

I noticed lately that centering plays a bigger factor. It can be within 60/40 on the front but still has to pass eye appeal. So if its easily noticeable that it's heavy left or right on mint card, it's been getting a 9 lately. See this in your submissions too. I took a few out of my last submission because i've been noticing the centering eye appeal is playing in effect more than before.

Why do you even send to PSA or grade cards at all? By the looks of it roughly you got 20 or so PSA 10s out of 60 or so cards. I think that's a pretty decent result and the grading was done fairly - PSA is doing their job and judging your cards. PSA rarely damages your cards nor are they incentivised to give your cards lower grades. (they can up charge you for higher grades) - they also give you pregrading scans which are before they grade it and cards are still in your semirigids - so you can tell any damage. I know it sucks to get 9s or lower but it's part of the process.

13:55 pause here and look at the top right of the card. Your corner is dinged. 20:31 top right corner again has some whitening. PSA honestly for a lot of these looks to be grading appropriately.

Where do you buy your cards? I feel like the cards they have at shows are never possible 10s because if they were the vendor would just submit them themselves and people on offerup think their cards are worth more than they are

unfortunately pack fresh never means 10, the prerelease zard didn't surprise me because in terms of xy evolutions, quality control did not exist, cards were terrible quality and getting a 10 is nearly impossible, that's why it's expensive at all is because graded ones in 10s are so low pop

3:41 centering on the back is way off. It's not just back nicks and scratches...centering is huge dude. 4:51 bottom right corner is whitening. I'd suggest watching a few PSA grading videos to see what to look for when submitting. Just because you pulled it and it's minty pack fresh doesn't mean anything.

7:50 the centering is horrible, but a 5? jeez PSA really hates vintage. 18:22 and yeah it's not all feraligatrs, delta species cards in particular (their foiling) was just really poorly manafactured and TONS of them have print/scan lines on them...whoever graded it still high af though, i could get a 6 or 7 but 2 wtf why send the vintage cards to PSA knowing they never grade vintage fairly and do population control though?

From experience BW, XY and early S&M era cards have issues with edges and corner issues directly from the print facility and use of blunt blades. That is possibly the reason why your XY promos got near mint to mint 8 if the surfaces were clean. PSA usually don't like corner lips either which can dock point. This also happens while the sheets of cards get cut at the printing facility. Get a UV black light and check the edges and corners of the cards through the PSA slab.

A 9 is still a solid grade … most shops won’t touch anything in an 8 … card collectors will probably buy an 8 for a binder piece ..

I just recently got back into collecting Pokémon cards .. i say if you can afford it . just buy PSA 9 and 10 slabs … getting cards graded after pulling them yourself from new packs and getting 8’s is a nightmare my dude ..

I don’t know if this is your first time grading with PSA, but those grades look pretty spot on to me. Maybe a few of those 8s would’ve been 9s 4-5 years ago, but don’t send them back into PSA. You’ll just lose grading fees and get same results.

Awesome! I just sent a few cards there! I sent a Raquaza Vmax alt art which I am pretty sure will be a 10. I also sent out the entire pikachu v union set along with a Glaceon Vmax alt art.

Just because you open and sleeve doesnt mean it wont have markings. I pulled a rayquaza vmax last night and it had some crazy whitening on the side that i definitely didnt do. If the edges, corners, surface and centering isnt on point it wont grade well

if you can even out the corners on the pokemon label side, then they'll rate higher, but i'm seeing some tiny white nicks. that along with some off centering(not your fault) would drop it a few levels

Aside from some being slightly off center, the back of the cards are easy to miss scratches and the front to a lesser extent. Assuming you looked at them all under light and magnification the ones that are better centered I’d crack for sure. Cheers man loved the return.

Also alot of those cards don't technically qualify for there base entry level grading ..under 200$ 15.00 ..most of time they will grade them ..but u even got lesser chance of getting 10 ..because the grader would have to upcharge you and do paperwork ..and way psa pumps these out . Time is of the essence
