Now this is more like it. Looking like a real contest instead of a choreographed dance. Love it.

This video is evidence that should have been presented to the jury which back in 87 believed that the show was real. Both men came out and left together. It's obvious that they work together! If this was Frank's last match they should have taken this in consideration.

These two sold this match and the Japanese audience showed their true appreciation for the NWA even before the match started with the flowers and pomp... when it ended, Steamboat showed his true character by handing the belt to Flair and shaking his hand, and waving to the crowd as well... back when pro wrestling was LEGIT!!!!
The one thing I hate about these old-school matches is how many of these matches end in disqualification, countout, or time-limit draw. Most of these Japanese matches I see with two US stars end up with some sort of non-finish! It is very disappointing.
Don Julio has a great comment about Sheik and Abdullah. They were a disgrace to the business. That was their job and they did it beautifully!! In particular, Ed Farhat, aka "the sheik ," had more showmanship and entertainment skill than any professional wrestler in history. BAR NONE!! He redefined and expanded the concept of the heavy. The man everyone came to see, to hopefully watch him, have his ass handed to him!! What an arsenal of tricks and weapons he had at his disposal. From sticks to pencils. Even a portable fire starter. Or whatever it was!! Notice how the crowds are even larger in Japan than in the United States. The Sheik had a near deified persona in the land of the rising sun. Wrestling became the multi-billion dollar industry it is due to his despicable antics. As a native of his hometown Lansing, Michigan, i am proud that Edward George Farhat became the anti hero of all anti heros. It was all in fun. And no one ever created more fun for the fans watching. And no one ever will.

Sou desu ne! The Butcher had a deadly head butto!!
The Sheik was so lazy in the 70s. Every match was basically the same. Even in Japan he was lazy during 70s early 80s. Pencil jabs, biting and a sloppy camel clutch sums up his arsenal.

Andy Kaufman had no business in a wrestling Ring but after all of his mouthing I was so glad when Jerry Lawler put him in the hospital and ko ing Kaufman on David letterman even though Lawler was twice his size but it was all just a act just like everything else in pro wrestling
