Welcome to the new home! Just an fyi for you, $4./# is is twice what I have to pay for whole jumbo chicken wings here But, I purchase them in a 40# box that are fresh, never frozen. Well I appreciate you going through the taste test efforts. I can get my steaks fresh as well as aged because I can buy the cow (or part of a cow). Obviously a good part of said cow will be frozen and then vacuum sealed. Now here's the kicker, speaking as a forester and really I'm not hugging trees all day I'm doing math. While you were in fact working to discern a difference and I appreciate this you nonetheless had a 50/50 shot of guessing that right. Scientifically you need a larger sampling and you certainly could throw your wife in for the test. Actually make a few of those old-fashions and throw a picnic. Thanks for the video my son-in-law needs to see it, you look straight out of Minnesota. Cheers

If you get every seed and scrape the membrane completely out, most Jalapeno's will have little to no heat left. Another trick is to roast the peppers afterwards but before you fill them so they get a 15-20 extra cooking however the pepper will be much softer.

Isn't that the reason why you cook it to remove the bacteria from the whole thing
@Anon4492-c6f22 күн бұрын
Would internal temps not be enough to kill the bacteria? Not trying to be a smart ass you seem to know more than I do. Also why specifically with beef is there a concern with the bacteria as opposed to other proteins? You mentioned something about the oxygen penetrating there but I am unsure why that would not be the case for the others. Thanks in advance if you get around to responding.
@DelmarvaBackyard22 күн бұрын
If the steak is cooked to 165 F all the way through the middle (another wards WELL DONE) the steak has no real chance of having bacteria anywhere inside it. However, if the steak is uncooked to anything below Well Done the chances of contamination go up increasingly as the internal temperature you cook it too drop. So if you only cook the steak to Medium (130 F) and use a needle tenderizer, chances are higher of bacteria contamination although they are in general still fairly low unless you get your meat form a high production operation (Think Walmart). That make sense?
@Anon4492-c6f22 күн бұрын
@@DelmarvaBackyard yes! That makes complete sense. Thank you for the response. Side note I am sorry people are being rude and ignorant as is common nowadays towards you. Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. These people think they know more than someone who has a KZbin channel all about this stuff. They would rather just feel superior than learn. a Jaccard has been used in restaurants and steak houses for decades. and some meats, sold at Costco for example, will say "blade tenderized". there's no issue with bacteria, unless you're Jaccard itself is dirty.
@DelmarvaBackyard26 күн бұрын
Most people don't realize there is an increased threat. There is most definitely a higher chance of foodborne illness using a blade tenderizer if you cook your steaks less than 160 F. Its not just the tenderizer, its the surface of the outside of the meat from handling and processing the animal. Most of the time everything is fine, but its like that with other foods as well. Its fine, until its not. I appreciate the argument but there's a reason all the menus disclose foodborne illness for undercooked food.
@jeffmccloud90526 күн бұрын
@@DelmarvaBackyard can you cite any studies that prove this? (With regard to the Jaccard, specifically. Of course I'm aware of the danger of undercooked or unhygienically treated food)
