When getting the bus into Glasgow from Kirkintilloch, these flats always let you know you were nearly there.

As much as I was glad to move away from Glasgow it does sadden my heart to see them go as i have fond memorys of passing them in the 1980's and 1990's. I still remember in the 1990's Glasgow city put up a new bit of art on the gas holder tank of a big yellow charecter with the slogan ( Glasgow Smiles Better ) who at least remember that old slogan on there when it was up in the 1990's? many Generations of my entire family were all born in Rottenrow Royal Maternity hospital and myself and all my siblings including my little sister that passed away less than a year old, we were the Last generation of our family to be born there and now all thats left is 2 walls and a park that once was a maternity hospital. It dose make me laugh when I leave doors open and someone Clipes in * Were you born in a Park* I ALWAYS reply YES as the hospital we were born in is now a park. Ty Glasgow Urban Wildlife for capturing this part of our history that is now lost.
