Bingo son! I have the M4A1 ris 2 dd upper. I turned it into the ultimate SPR all purpose rifle. Threw on the nx8 2.5-20 with a Steiner MPS at the 12 o’clock. I may throw on some 45 degree irons but for the most part 45 degree makes zero sense. Especially for magnification. You can use the dot to spot your target at extended magnification, it’s great for CQC, you can still use your sight when using a bipod. 45 degree just sucks in so many ways. Not gonna lie, I really don’t like LPVO’s, I would like an ATACR 1-8 or a mark 8 1.1-8. But when you have a top dot, may as well have the extra magnification and a parallax in a true setup where there isn’t a compromise. Red dots are best at point shooting and CQC, true MPVO’s with a parallax are best at precision and target identification. For the most part LPVO’s are a compromise on both but with horrible battery life. I don’t understand it. But I also don’t have one so maybe I’ll change my mind if I got a good one.

Gonna guess you never heard of or used night vision... not saying you can't use an lpvo and nods, but looking through a tube with a tube isn't easy or fun. Red dots are much better and easier to aquire.

Probably never used an lpvo before either lol. Raising it messes with the zero as well and the capability at longer distances. Having it close as comfortably possible opens up max point blank range as well as minimizes hold overs. Not to mention LPVO’s will never be red dots. They are a compromise between a dot and a scope by they are not a dot or a scope. You still have parallax and you don’t get adjustable parallax. So your cheek weld needs to be really good but at extended ranges your impact is not near as precise. Also at extended ranges the dot helps you not have to go to 1x to find targets. In CQC you still get the red dot fast with the heads up comfort. Someone tell this dude to go being poor somewhere else damnit! This ain’t call of duty son! My only criticism is that it isn’t an RMR, Steiner MPS, or Sig Romeo XT. Not a fan of the durability on that sucker but the warranty is pretty legit and the price is, well, he invested in it so I can’t knock what he likes and spends money on.

You got to remove the pin it’s a 4.5 mm on the jmac stock. So grab a punch. Also you will need a picitiny conversion kit if you haven’t bought one already.
