I use this and have set the max temp to 65, but my water is never hot, just stays luke warm, and cant take nice hot shower

I do not use the timers, I set the max temperature to 65, and want the unit to stay on standby until the temperature has dropped by the mentioned 6 or 7 degree threshold, and then automatically start heating again. The problem with my unit is that it heats the water to 65, and then switches off. That means I have to manually start it every time. It used to do this until a week ago, and I don't know how to get it back to that mode. Any help?

@Christian10111, I ended up having to replace the control unit in the roof. Cost about R700, easy enough to install myself. Apparently a known issue. I suggest you phone Geyserwise and order a replacement, they deliver in about 2 to 3 days

Can someone tell me what does it mean if the green spanner light is ON? I am struggling with heating my water when I press the red button and the geyser breaker is ON, does that effect the heating?

This video is straight forward and easy to understand. If you have never stepped through a program to time a device then it may appear confusing but if you become fimaliar with it its easy like walking through doors or steps in a game. Cant believe people find this so hard I am 62 and I get it. It is old tech so its not click and play you actually have to apply the grey matter. Thanks for video 😊

When you use the ptc element which can be both powered by DC from solar panels or AC from when the sun is not there or under heavy cloud cover.

I’d assume it works perfectly fine … I use the tuya DB board switches (din rail), and tuya smart plugs on larger appliances - and they all work perfectly (6 devices). The tuya controller within the geyserwise is a simple wireless switch. The great thing is you can add each controller into a scene or groupings… so 1 click controls multiple switches.

I am in SA. We have lots of 'load shedding'. It messes up any time settings. I want to set my geyser to heat to 55 when I want it. In other words OFF the rest of their time. None of these demo's show how to to this.....

Hi, click the red button that says power to switch the electric element on, and click it again to switch the electric element off, the lcd screen will show that the electric element is on. This button is not power to the controller unit but power to the geyser element

The Tuya integration is great. It cannot however work with Google as the Google integration has not been programmed. So in Google home, it doesn't have any operation or information. On the app, would love some more info: - change the colour of the pump on and element on blocks so that they light up when active - show a history/graph of geyser/collector temps when you click the temperature tiles - error status section to see if clear or say E8 error etc But this is a great 1st step and sorts out many issues I had with overheating, indicators when the element is on so I don't forget, etc Great work Geyserwise!

At the moment I need to set my GW-Delta-t to holiday mode in the evening if the temperature is around 70 deg at the end of the day. If I don't do this, then the temperature gets way too high the following day if it's very sunny. The problem with this is that if I set the holiday mode early in the evening (I go to bed early every day :) , then the temperature is down to 50 deg in the morning which is too cold for our morning showers. I would like the holiday mode or whatever other option there may be, not to cool the geyser below 60 deg. Will this new controller provide us with an option to achieve that?

Yes, it works quite well in HA. The official Tuya integration has limited control and there is a bit of a delay since it works through the cloud, but you can control the important bits (power on/off, and current temp). The LocalTuya integration has instantaneous feedback and allows you to control everything except the built-in timers, which you arguably don't need since you can automate it via HA. I'll post the DPs here a bit later.

Hi, we have a solar system and my son fiddled with the machine on the wall yesterday. The green spanner keeps flashing when it reaches 51°, we don't use electricity to heat up water only the sun power. How do I cancel the green spanner (pump indicator) from flashing. Thank you.
