THANK YOU for not having blinders on about Mario party 4. People rank it so high, and I just don't understand it, because almost all the boards are so painfully bad and unplayable with either infinite loops or sections where poorly thought out mechanics are needed, like a mini mushroom that only has a maximum dice roll of 5 lol. And if you use the mega mushroom you can't stop to buy anything. You literally have zero enjoyment on these boards. They are painful. A few of the best minigames should not be a saving grace to justify people liking MP4 so much. My jaw dropped when I first bought it and played it based off of everyone's high ranking opinion of it. The Mario parties I can always play are: Mario Party 3 Mario Party 6 Mario Party 2 (The big deal breaker for me here is only being able to hold 1 item, otherwise, mp2 would be peak N64 Mario party) Mario Party 7 (I haven't played this one as much as the other 3, and Bowser time is annoying, but the boards are enjoyable... At least the few times I've played it) I can nitpick issues with each of these games, but overall I'm always happy if we're playing one of those four Mario parties. I haven't played 5 or the Gameboy ones. Minigames are enjoyable in 9 and 10 and Bowser time in 10 is a fun twist... Those are the only positive things I have to say about 9 and 10... And minigames are pretty much enjoyable in all Mario parties, so that's not saying much lol. Super Mario party is trash just like 9 and 10. Mario party superstars fixes the item issues of 1 and 2, allowing items, and 3 of them at that, but suffers from only having 5 boards, a few of which I've never been a fan of. 2 dlc boards would have most likely skyrocketted it to the top, even if some charm gets lost with modern graphics. For instance, even though horror land looks so much sharper, it used to have a charming cozy glow to it at night on the original that it lost in the remake.

I liked it.

Kirby Mass Attack is the only Kirby game I own and I love it very dearly and have played it twice🩷

Kirby Mass attack was the first and only Kirby game i have owned. I did play Magic Mirror which i liked, but Mass Attack was really creative and fun

kirby mass attack used to be my favourite kirby game in the entire series, until return to dreamland released, which made it my second favourite. it breaks my heart seeing it as underrated as it is, because it really is such a good game. also! as for playing this on an emulator... buying a cheap drawing tablet makes the game a LOT more fun to play on an emulator and it really does feel like you're playing it on what is as close to a DS as a computer can be.

Y'know, I think that the only reason I can't forget about this game was because it was my first Kirby game.

As Itionoben once put it, Kirby was the go-to face for when Nintendo wanted to experiment with a new concept.

Let's not forget that we see other team names and colors but even if you beat the full game you can't use them in exhibition mode and speaking of exhibition there are ten possible team names to use but five are exclusive to one side and five are exclusive to the other side so even if you wanted to you can't do Rockets vs Comets because they're on the same side of the screen, its so fucking dumb and as someone who grew up on charged im pissed on how Nintendo massacred my boy

I'm surprised this video has so few views, because it's so well produced and informative! Thank you for pointing out things like the sound design and goalies, those are things I feel most reviewers don't mention or only spend a sentence on (like, they'll say Boom Boom sucks but don't elaborate on how that ruins the pacing). You actually go in depth as to what makes the games' aspects work and flop and it makes the whole video so much more rich and worth watching. I also never understood why removing the captain system in Battle League was a bad decision, so thanks for explaining how it affects the gameplay! (fun fact, Strikers didn't take any inspiration from american football, the body checking and dekes come from ice hockey)

Everything you said about Charged was factual 😂 it remains the best Strikers game, they really should’ve ported it. Battle League is good I’d say, the gear actually does make a difference, as someone who has 80+ hrs in this game, I can confidently say that it does. I am very upset that the game I waited so long for was just another Nintendo switch lame ahh sports game, but at the end of the day I bought it cuz Strikers is such a big deal to me. When you said BL feels like a sequel to Super, I couldn’t agree more! It has more than that game but nowhere near as much as Charged. I’m still not a big fan of everyone being able to do Hyper Strikes cuz then there is no Captain, which is whack, I don’t like how everyone tackles & dodges the exact same, and while I’m used to the charged tackle now, it definitely confuses newcomers and the complex controls in general confuse newcomers which makes them not want to play the game unfortunately. I supported this game but I can’t in good faith recommend it to anyone who really wants to experience “Strikers” one of my homies ended up buying it close to launch & he joined my club but eventually he stopped having fun and makes me feel bad for getting him into it cuz he bought a full price game that he never wants to play…😢

I honestly wish they brought back the Mario basketball game! Though with how the Mario sports games for switch have barely any content and have the free update stuff, they’d probably botch the game.

Personal, I thought switch stikers would be an updated version from the wii. Being nearly a decade apart, the wii version remains superior. The wii version did give you unlockable features and characters. Switch gives you DLC players and new costumes. Nothing to reward you for playing.

I remember the other day, a friend unfamiliar with the series was talking about how good the animations in battle league were, and asked me how bad the game was compared to the rest of the series. I think I said something along the lines of "it technically has less content," and then I started getting into how it had less characters with fewer unique traits, no stage hazards, reused voice clips, far worse music, terrible audio mixing, no cheats or interesting unlockables... I had genuinely forgotten how bad it was and had to remind myself with that conversation, lol.

The characters have so much personality in Strikers Charged and characters such as Wario and Daisy really got to shine due to their personalities actually working in such a gritty situation

Nintendo used to love these characters, cherish this IP. You can see it in the charge celebrations. The personality off the charts.

The saddest part of modern day, is seeing simple home run hits being fumbled by massive corps, when a small group of dedicated fans could do so much better with the same funding. It’s not just Mario strikers, but Disney remakes, marvel and Star Wars, Assassins creed, and the rest of the forgettable AAA productions of the half decade.

I also dont like how no one in battle league is overly aggressive, make them all mad and look they want to kill eachother
