That was only the (toy) guns . Imagine the lower deck 32 pound monsters opened up! Spare a thought for the poor souls that have to clean all those cannons.

Horrible camera work: all the time only fragments of the horses. It' more about drivers, glitz and glimmer...

Followers of the late great Len Crane may find some of my video footage on KZbin of interest, steam traction engine rally newhall street city centre Birmingham, outside of the old science and industry museum an annual event used to take place during the month of May, the footage is from the 1980s filmed on a Sunday afternoon, sadly the rally came to an end after the museum closed and moved to millennium park think-tank museum near to the the HS2 terminal when it's finally built,i have great memories of the old museum living in the city and visiting many times and of course wonderful memories of the engines and Pat Collins Wonderland fairground organ which features in the video.

"bring of the french" we should not forget that the English to beat the French we had to make alliances otherwise they lost and had no chance on the battlefield we should wake up just look at the battles there is not one where the English are not not with someone like a baby who needs that mom, but apart from that very beautiful ship ;)

I'm confused. The narrator says "At this end is the piston which is pushing the beam down and on this end is the pump. How it works is steam is pushing this end down, the valves are then released and it goes back by gravity." My understanding is that steam is actually pushing the piston up which drives the beam up and on the other side of the beam, drives the pump down. A vacuum is created within the cylinder at the top of the stroke which creates a pressure differential so that atmospheric pressure, not gravity, drives the piston down to complete one cycle. I would appreciate it if someone could either correct me or explain in further detail.

This engine wasn't running when we visited, even though their website said it would be. The last time we visited Langford must have been 10 or more years ago. As Easter Friday was lovely weather, we thought we'd pay a visit. The museum itself was very quiet, so we were able to get round fairly quickly and take a few photos. Nothing seems to have changed in the intervening years. I know the museum is staffed and run by an army of volunteers, many of whom are advanced in their years, but many of the exhibits are looking very tired and in desperate need of some TLC Then as it was coming up to lunch time we popped into the Cafeteria for a bite to eat, only to be told there would be an hour's wait for any food, even a sandwich. So we had a pot of tea, even though we only wanted two cups (so many places do this) and a couple of biscuits, costing £8, then made our way home after being there for about an hour. We weren't the only ones I assume the cafeteria is run as a concession, but their high prices will surely put people off going. It's a shame, as the museum will ultimately suffer.

The really amazing thing about the steam plowing is,just how quiet those engines are,and the seemingly effortless work that they do!Plus the fact that steam engines, like electric engines, can double their rated horsepower, for short periods of maximum effort 👌! Internal combustion can't do the trick! Thank you for your diligence and time, your information was never in the books on steam traction engines, that I had read!! When there is a Carrington Event, and the whole electric grid goes down, those engines will just soldier on! Thank you 😇!

My grandfather's Shire horses won the The Shire Horse Society show in 1924. At present I have his medal and its case. This will be returned to my late cousin's family. I believe the weight his horses pulled is still in the Guinness book of records

Get a grip Avalon Video, what a joke. I tried to watch one of your videos previously and gave up after 3 minutes due to your incessant fascination with repeatedly putting the same text on top of the video. Due to that 3 minutes KZbin pushed this video to me, what do I find, the same mindless need! If you are selling yourself as a professional video and editing service God help you, it's amateur hour all over again.

I found out by accident most of Victory's guns were fake when I visited her in 1976. I put my hand on one and "Whoops! This one's fiberglass! So's this one!" Kept my mouth shut though, it was a thrill being aboard such an incredibly historic ship. Those broadside pyrotechnics were three and four ounce loads of powder. The actual powder charge for one of Victory's 32 pounders was EIGHT pounds of powder! Considering what those light charges were like can you imagine a full one?

This is the problem with true history is it’s being hidden from us. They built all that without electricity, power tools and plant machinery 🤔 Awesome video btw Question everything just use your eyes and see these types of buildings all over the world

Steam power was the electricity of the Victorian era. They had power tools and plant machinery - steam powered ones, they were just not available to everyone.
