Betuweroute is shut for 80 weeks in total 60 weeks of single line working means 65 trains a day on the brabantroute and once the full closure is in place for 20 weeks 135 trains per day apparently

What a place to start Dan. Best place in France for loco hauled passenger variety. Lots of new units being built to replace a lot of the older stock unfortunately. Make the most of it.

Probably the best place in France for freight. The 2 channels you mentioned are two of my favourites as well. Fret Spotting and Trains_Spotteur_69 are great as well for Southern France. Absolute superb video though Dan. Very enjoyable 👏🏻

That was quite the diesel gala, the first since 2016 at the NYMR. Was there as well worked from Pickering then northwards towards Grosmont. Superb footage, full enjoyable to watch :-)

Hi Dan. How did you get on in Switzerland, price wise I'm thinking about, food, hotel etc. I've heard it's a touch on the pricey side.

I didn't stay in Switzerland so I can't comment on hotel prices (I stayed in Strasbourg when I filmed in Basel because it was cheap and a good excuse to get loco hauled trains in for haulage on TER200), food was pretty pricey whilst I was there though but that was mostly because I didn't have any francs on me and had to use euros and in some shops things cost more because of it

Cheers, for passenger trains in Belgium specifically I use Haltelink Tracker which gives live allocations of locos and carriages, but with freight it's very much a turn up and wait job. I was with some Dutch friends who get gen on interesting moves as well; we went for the Class 21s and weren't expecting much freight hence why we weren't really on the right platform for them.
