Near the end of August 2023, yet another Branchline Society tour was organised with DB Cargo once again benefitting the amazing Martin House Children's Hospice, and in true BLS fashion it was another feast of locos and rare track. It was a two day tour however I only went out to see it on it's first day, which was dubbed 'The Humber Super Snipe' as it was travelling around my local area. The tour started at Derby and travelled to Immingham via Woodhouse sidings and Worksop/Brigg, before reversing and becoming a quad-header towards Doncaster where it would do some shunting around the yards. After it headed up the ECML to Hambleton before going across to Milford and Gascoigne Wood. Then, it headed south through Castleford to Midland Road TMD where Freightliner provided 4 extra locos for the tour (two 70s and two 66s) on it's run to Dewsbury Cement Terminal, before doubling back to Wakefield Kirkgate. I went home after this, but it did continue back to Derby after a break in Wakefield. I've also included all the additional things I filmed during the day in the video.
