Why couldn't he just use a separate wifi network?

Because I guess they just didn't forsee the issue, but yeah that would have totally worked

Since he's also complaining about people's personal hotspots, I think the problem was that there was simply too much radio interference in the room due to all the hotspots talking over each other in the room for the demo Wi-Fi network to get through.

I ran into this session by trying to research the Global Technology and Development Graduate program at ASU. I just wanted to comment how appreciative I am to have run into this panel discussion. I have worked for over 20 years directly in IT and Telecommunications specifically in DOD and Public Safety and am currently on a life changing journey to explore how technology builds connections with people. I have become interested in the GTD program because I feel that the topic of technology as it applies to culture and worldwide access is not discussed enough. I very much enjoyed the discussion that this panel has had about development and insight of how emerging technologies and change has not only impacted cultures of people, but also left others in the dark so to speak. Thank you so much! This was a great discussion!

Answer is to have two networks. One for the demo and one for the users. Demo gets priority routing.

They were all hotspotting but too much of that can interfere with local wifi even if the audience isn't using local wifi. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKeuk4CrmretqKs

Eventually, I believe, current attempts to understand the mind by analogy with man-made computers that can perform superbly some of the same external tasks as conscious beings will be recognized as a gigantic waste of time. I like how much people laugh even though Steve Jobs was dead serious. He never really got over that Next presentation.
