I am surprised that someone in your subdivision is allowed to have a rooster. Zoning laws are so crazy! I love the sound of that rooster though. Also, this being your first year having a garden, you have grown quite a lot of veggies. When I pick food from my garden, I think of it as free food with no pesticides whatsoever.

All so true - freedom, time to enjoy the small things, reflect, are what counts. Making your kitchen, your oasis, that's perfect. Ive come to enjoy local things, and the daily slow rhythm of life versus rushing around and travelling excessively. Thnk you !

I have missed you. I find so much joy in eating food that I have grown myself. I also planted cherry tomatoes this year and love adding them to my salads. You are smart to create these memories with your little girl and duplicating the memories you had growing up.
