There is no such thing as only one apple prototype they have lots and lots they send them off anyways recycling to be securely destroyed. It’s just a few have been taken out of that overtime by people. Likely have retained lots of these transparent prototypes.

I would not advise this unless you know what you’re doing which means you would likely have the fire wire charger but if the battery is completely dead, there is the option of charging it externally and then putting it back in so FireWire is not needed

It doesn't run all that great on newer iOS devices 'cuz it hasn't been updated in years. The latest version still supports iOS 6.0 as its minimum required iOS version.
