AFAIK, it is not necessary to turn the heat control knob to max hot setting inside the car. This is not a mechanical directly controlled heater valve, but an electric controlled one. The heater valve is always OPEN when no current flows ( Ignition OFF ) . It only energizes when the ignition is ON and the control is moved away from the max heat setting towards the cold setting.

SlowNRusty... I just bought an E24 M6, the Michael Strahan one from BaT. Car has been at the shop since more than a week as we can not locate the Replacement Engine Oil Cooler Lines from Oil Cooler to Filter Housing.

On the door striker, they take these plastic cap that if you don't have it the door wrong close, right , I'm sure you know this.

@@luisbenitez3428 Thank-you, I appreciate it. For the exhaust, I have no part numbers to really share as I bought the stainless pipe from a seller off eBay and the muffler was trial and error from 4 or 5 different vendors including Amazon and Summit Racing

The front end is very similar to the laser tx3 (a ford tuned 323 gtx) that was produced for ford in the asian market alongside the escort tx3, think escort gt but bpt and awd kinda sick tbh

Hey SnR, Great videos! They are inspiring me to dip into the kids' college funds to address the maintenance of my 87 635. I am currently doing much the same work that you are doing in this video. Ireland no longer offers stainless headers, so I am opting for the Supersprint headers and exhaust. Do you think I would have any problems deleting the cat? I presume I could just re-intstall an O2 sensor, but would I need to make any adjustments on the engine? Is a cat delete advisable do you think? I see you had your headers powder coated. Would it be more advantageous to have them ceramic coated instead? Finally: I am replacing my brake booster, so I have taken the brake bomb out. I see you replaced your bomb. Do you think I should replace? what are the symptoms of a bad bomb? That damn thing is a super pain in the ass to take out, so I am thinking I might want to replace it while its out. Thanks again for all the information you share!

Thanks, glad my videos are proving helpful to the community and E24 owners alike. The Supersprint exhaust is a really nice option, upgrade, I recommend it and have fitted it to past E24 that I have owned. The E24 O2 sensor is a basic senor in the early days of EFI, you don't have to re-install it, totally optional. I recommend a cat delete, it will free 10 or more hp. I also recommending ceramic coating. Symptoms of a bad brake bomb is a brake pedal that occasionally goes all the way to the floor and is squshy..it can be scary. Hope this helps.

The car was rough cosmetically, sagging headliner, needed some leather and wood attention. Also the paint was not in great condition, so I stripped the car and painted the entire car including pulling the rear glass. Mechanically the car was in good condition.

The bushing falls out because it is held in by the partial flange on the plastic bushing. If it gets a bit loose and brittle with age, the flange cracks off and shifting wiggles the bushing out. I am pitting a hose clamp around the joint so the bushing can never fall out on the road. It is a cheap, easy preventive measure. My car had it happen and I see it had been repaired before.

@@BMkeys14 - the coilovers are an older Ground Control set, you can call them to see if they are still available. I will rebuilt the set as they were on the car when I bought it
