This better not be what is next for Kings Island. This coaster is CRAP! it's another out and back coaster - for a park that already has basically 2 of them now. And with speeds under 50 mph, that makes this anything but a "thrill" ride...it's basically a longer version of Snoopy Soap Box Racers. LAME! It is likely this will be the piece of crap Cedar Fairs/Six Flags gives one of the flagships parks after failing to give KI fans anything "standout" in nearly a decade. Banshee & Mystic Timbers were great additions, even though Mystic Timbers is weak compared to Wicked Timbers at Kings Dominion. And Orion was the minimalist "giga coaster" ever designed or built. Cedar Fair basically did the weakest "giga" money could buy for a park that consistently brought them Top 4 attendance every year. It has become very clear, Cedar Fair does not want to treat Kings Island well, because they used to be an in-state rival and now they just "crap" all over KI fans by raising prices but never adding the same type of thrill rides they continuously build at Cedar Point. They waste money on trying to "fix" or redesign Top Thrill - which NEVER worked for more than a week - yet somehow found even more money to build another revolutionary coaster (tilt coaster) yet KI will basically get back-to-back family out-and-back roller coasters?? The line for this is going to be ridiculously long because you have to wait for the same damn coaster to return. When is KI going to get a World Record Setting coaster with Top Speeds or Heights or something that is different than anything else they already have?? Why not build a Steel Vengeance type homage to Son Of Beast?? or something like the Vortex or Firehawk?? Orion was NOT original - the layout sucks and there is nothing special about it - unlike Intimidator at KD or Fury at CaroWinds. This ride would be "good" for KI if they hadn't just build Snoopy Soap Box Racer AND a poor excuse for a Giga Coaster - that really isn't better than DiamondBack - less airtime. I mean Kings Dominion has a better Giga coaster, a better "Timbers" coaster and now they are getting a very cool Wing Coaster. Not bad for a park that generates less attendance and is cheaper to attend than KI. This is why after being a season pass holder for nearly 2 decades, after Orion, I have no longer renewed by Season Pass. It's way too expensive to go to a park that refuses to add the quality of thrill rides that exist at their other parks.

this is just the Soriani & Moser Polyp but with a couple barely-notable changes. As an example, the S&M Polyp features holes on the octopus to allow the tentacles to raise and lower, whereas the zamperla one does not.
