The N64 controller is awesome and easy to hold.. watching the clips of people trying to hold it is like watching an informercial of someone struggling to open a cabinet door. It's really not that challenging to corectly hold it. It's just not a symmetrical placement and that throws people off. For FPS, the N64 controller is still the best design since it puts your hand in more natural trigger position.

The Sega Dreamcast is where Sega finally got it right after the commercial failures of the Sega CD, Sega 32X, Sega Saturn, etc., but it was too little, too late. The Sega Dreamcast failed primarily due to a combination of factors including: intense competition from the PlayStation 2, limited third-party support, poor marketing strategies, a lack of "must-have" exclusive titles, and the negative reputation Sega had built up from previous console failures like the 32X and Saturn; essentially, it was a powerful console that launched too early, facing a dominant competitor and struggling to gain widespread appeal despite its innovative features. Key points about the Dreamcast's downfall: Early release and tough competition: The Dreamcast was released before the PlayStation 2, which quickly overshadowed it with superior hardware and a larger game library. Limited third-party support: Many game developers were hesitant to support the Dreamcast due to Sega's previous console failures, leading to a smaller game selection compared to the PlayStation. Marketing issues: Sega's marketing campaign for the Dreamcast was seen as poorly targeted, failing to reach a broad audience and focusing too heavily on hardcore gamers. No "killer app": While games like Sonic Adventure and Soul Calibur were well-received, they weren't considered "must-have" titles that would convince people to buy a Dreamcast. Internal struggles: There were disagreements between Sega of America and Sega of Japan regarding the Dreamcast's direction and marketing strategy. It's truly a sad situation because Sega's contribution and importance to the game industry is unprecedented.

100% play the Dead Space remake. It cleans up the gameplay a lot and does a "re do" on a couple sections that were frustrating in the original. It also adds some story elements that tightens things up narratively. Dead Space 2 is a masterpiece and can get it pretty cheap. It adds more action but still maintains the creepy atmosphere that makes it so engaging. Dead Space 3 is mediocre that looses the plot of what made the series great. Not bad necessarily but disappointing overall.

Wow, your collection is so different from mine! As a kid I went more for the Working Designs RPGs instead of the FMVs. The fuse thing totally makes sense now! I went through multiple model 1s as a kid and could never figure out why. I had a whole system of cobbling together enough money to buy a new one, swap out the broken one, and then return the busted one. Eventually I got a model 2 but like you think the model 1s just look cooler.

First off, I want to say I’m a huge and 64 fan. It was part of my college years and rode over it. I’ve already sold my PlayStation for financial reasons and I must be probably one of the only ones that agreed with Nintendo‘s decision to stick with cartridges For the platform. Did Nintendo’s decision to stick with cartridges hurt them yes it did but I think if it weren’t for that decision, we probably wouldn’t of got some of the greatest games we did and also as prices came down on rum chips we got bigger games and perfect dark and cooker’s bad fur day on the biggest N64 cartridges at the time along with resident evil 2 plus we got super smash Bros which is still running to this day I know many people hate the N64 but for me it was one of my favourite Nintendo systems and remain so to this day Super Mario 64 was revolutionary and quite frankly, neither Sony or SEGA offered anything that was equal to it not even crash bandicoot could stand up to Super Mario 64

Hey, Jake. REALLY enjoyed your video (ESPECIALLY the part where you repaired/replaced the traces on the SegaCD board?!?!?) - badass, dude!!! Uhh, bout Ecco The Dolphin, dough...🙄 It's NOT the same as the Megadrive (Genesis) build of the game - save the redbook audio. Some "upgrades" - - Q-sound - one of the few games that Sega included this tech to immerse the player in 3D(ish) sound. - the sound samples are "truer" to real sound (ie - Ecco's splashes) - the full motion video glyphs (they're kinda hokey, but informative) in the Atlantis library. A full motion video intro. - Five (5) additional (redesigned?) levels. Just thought I would mention a few differences I've noticed while playing, Bruv. Love your content & your channel. Liked & subbed. Rock On!!! 🎸🎸🎸

First new console I bought with my own money (a couple years before, I’d bought a used NES). We really put those 4 controller ports to good use with mario kart, goldeneye, star fox and smash bros. We rented and bought games strategically (different friends bought different games and we swapped to save $). Also, controller: why are people still crying about it? Hand positioning was explained ON THE N64 BOX! Also, no game required you to use both the dpad and analog stick at the same time, it simply isn’t how games were designed at the time. Turok 1’s control scheme was brilliant and is how I always played goldeneye (Solitaire). I like the N64 controller so much I bought two for nintendo switch online and one is still in the box.

The constant quip edits are extremely obnoxious. I cant watch this. You dont need to make a cut to your face and a cringey quip every 10 seconds. Why does a literal documentary have to be one long skit? You dont have to force comedy/irony into everything.

By the time Dreamcast came out, my house had switched over to Playstation. But only because, and I still remember, a guy my dad worked with at that time had bought a PS1. We weren't rich by any means and we were still using Sega Genesis at that time. But my point is that Sony, by then, had completely taken the console market by storm, and following the disaster that was the Saturn, Sega never recovered. Even though rival Nintendo was still using cartridges in their N64. With the launch of the PS2 and Microsoft entering the console market with the Xbox, plus Nintendo finally coming out with a disc console (Gamecube), Sega simply couldn't compete and bowed out of consoles.

It would have been an uphill battle, but if Sega could have included a DVD drive, secured more 3rd party support, and, most importantly, stop all the company infighting, they could have actually had a chance. I guess it wasn't meant to be though, but at least we're still getting Sega games now instead of them just going away all together. Thanks for watching!!

I like your content, but watching your vids quick adhd editing is exhausting to watch. And despise the likely heavy amount ot time editing all of this, I actually prefer to simply listen to your videos with the screen off. You would likely burnout less if you eased up on the new shot every 3 seconds approach. I'd rather see more of your content with less gif clips than the bombardment style here, instead of less frequent content and with this approach. still subbed tho. take from this what you will. I hope you relax the edit. not because of my comments, but because it's will be less effort for you to still get out good content

Love the OG XBox I tryed to convert everyone I knew from Poo S 2 to Xbox and no one got it, Me “it’s got a HD ,Ethernet port and XBox live and online gaming“ My Mates “urrhh what’s that” 🫣🤬🤬 Splinter Cell 2 was awesome, I remember playing co-op on line one night and there was a bit with two guards sat on a sofa and you had to sneak up behind them and kill both at the same time but they kept hearing us and turning round, in the end we worked out that they could hear us talking to each other 🤯 we had to whisper to each other as we sneaked up behind them ! Made it So atmospheric, What a feature for back then, Shit I ain’t seen a game do it since. Also Splinter Cell Double Agent was right at the end of OG Xbox and Start of Xbox360 So they released on both console but there totally different games made by different game studios both Ubisoft but one made by Montreal and one by Milan (I think or maybe Shanghai) but the OG Xbox version was a much better game !! Rainbow Six Online Co-Op was Excellent, I remember the shower gun fight was the same as the film The Rock, Arrhh it was so good brings back mad memories
