My logic was to buy a cls one having a young family at the time, braced the legs and frame, screwed it to the floor and over the years of use I've modified it to suit my needs. I'd say the cls has shrunk a little so I don't have a lovely top, it's flat but has gaps.

Hi Brett, what a transformation on your workbench, it looks great mate. Stripped down the pallet slats glue them up put through to plainer hard wood on the ends and aluminium on the sides, now it looks the part. Another great workshop project, great video Take care

We tend to get the big stonking heavy pallets with 6" boards, they are a right pain in the butt to break down ,thanks for the tip on rocking them on the corners I'll give it a go but I doubt it will work on these we get

I’m lucky with the pallet stock at work. It’s a pretty clean environment. I get more than I can handle to be honest. No complaints though.

Looks good, and much brighter. That would lift my spirits. I have no idea what sort of weather you get down there, but I would think that it would help with the noise from rain and hail as well as the road noise. I've seen fellas use that stuff to cut their wood on, and it looks like it works great, but I would be concerned about breathing that crap in. Take care!

Hi Brett, A good use for those polystyrene sheets, gives you more light , lower noise and make it a bit more bearable in the winter. it makes you thinks some times, don't throw that away it will come in useful and it has. As always a great video, catch you soon, Take care

Hey Shaun mate!!.....do you know I have a seven year rule (sometime this extends to 10 or more) with regards throwing stuff away....typified last week by my mrs wanting to get a new light for the downstairs loo. I said "hang on" went to the shed and found a brand new light fitting we had bought for the previous house more than 7 year ago and never used......was perfect. so yes....if you can keep certain things do so...! keep well mate

@@adam-qf2vz Hi Adam, how you doing, agree, last year I fitted a twin florescent 5 ft above my workbench there was a 3 core flex on it I didn't want to connect to the light circuit but I have a 5 amp circuit for the alarm and a clock. In my box of electrical goodies I came across an old MK 5 amp plug and a 5 amp socket and connect to the 5 amp circuit it must have been there for 10-15 years in the box and now in use and also handy if the lights trip out the work bench light is still on and it will light up at the consumer unit. I do believe in keeping old stuff you might need it one day Take care mate
