I am having some issues. I used a halftone texture insted of line texture. The dots of my halftone textures are getting stretched on the surface of my objects in the z axis. Also, is there a way to retain the textures( base colour, roughness, etc) instead of the black and white stuff?

how do i stop my landscape from being totally red?
@NilsGallist12 күн бұрын
This most likely means you have a very complicated Shader on there. If this is the only red Shader, it might actually be fine tho.

Thanks! You make it look so easy to set up. Did you use their project template or blueprints? Certainly not straight forward to prep a project for deployment, at least not to me.

About optimizing lights. It's easy to put several unneeded lights in center of scene and then optimize scene by removing them. I want to see tutorial on how to optimize lighting when scene already have only lights that are needed (like it would be in real life). More info missed in this tutorial: to optimize these lights you can decrease their Attenuation Radius to minimal that fits your scene and disable Cast Shadows if possible. This is what I can call optimization, not placing and removing unneeded lights.

i have also noticed that objects that have emissive lights use a lot less resources that say a point light does
@NilsGallist12 күн бұрын
Yes do not rely missive materials to light out your scene.
@RiverFox_YT12 күн бұрын
@@NilsGallist I have some point lights inside my houses, they are really low on the brightness, and radius is also fairly small, but they all overlap and cause everything to be bright white on the view mode
@NilsGallist12 күн бұрын
If not intended to be dynamic, set them to static and bake lighting.
@RiverFox_YT12 күн бұрын
@@NilsGallist they are static, I haven't baked them though

Yeah, they are selling this for a scam. Do not purchase this if you're not a large studio with tons of money.
@dathedix39519 күн бұрын
How so? This seems pretty solidly in the 'pro-sumer' price range. It's not cheap but compared to XSens ($12k + 2k a year subscription if you want full body and a gloves), and Optix systems are even more expensive it's a pretty good deal.

subbed to patreon and got it, how would you go about adding more hatching layers (lines texture) the deeper shadows
@NilsGallist20 күн бұрын
Hey, thank you very much! So the shader is built do distinguish between... I belive 3 layrs of "Lightness". You could add a fourth one that is taking care of the REALLY dark areas and display a very tight mesh of crosshatches. This you could create by just up-ing the tiling on the crosshatch pattern.

Have you ever checked for mag interference? I just did a recording yesterday and had wonky results in some sensors, although I didn't bother with the actor profile measurements, but there were many moments where the magnetometers were disabled during recording in some sensors. I checked with the recommended apps and they had 0.6-0.9microTeslas in the whole house. I see you have some instruments and speakers very close by, did you check for that? Any improments?
