@@rcjrpilot Because those engines were designed to run without. This engine is designed to need back pressure from an exhaust to run properly, as well as a vent line hooked up to the tank to give the carburetor proper fuel pressure.

@@6rah3m yes you can take the rudder off and spinner for transportation, but it will fit inside a mini van, or ford explorer with all the seats down. The Rudder without taking an apart in between the two front seats.

Just FYI, I don't think it's a good idea to spray "diesel starting fluid" into a glow engine (1:05). It may have been responsible for making it difficult to start the engine thereafter 🤷🏻♂️

Memphis, Tenn..... NATTC,1969. They had a big hobby shop with elecrtic car tracks, and a flying club for control line. There were guys there that would snap to attention and do wingovers while colors was playing. Had control line and RC cars and planes club at Lemoore NAS in 1983. Now the RC birds that they fly these days🥹,noice!!!
