Not really an honest representation when the air volume in the whiry fan is half the size of the attic, then you spin it by hand with the force of a 40 mph wind. If you have that much wind I'll bet a gable end vent is as good if not more effective

Is that power operated? Like does that have any electric motor?
@AeroBeIIАй бұрын
No. It's wind powered because it's supposed to be put on the roof of your house where it's windy, it'll spin faster depending on wind

is it still effective when the whirlybird and the intake are in the same side?
@BrotherAfnan14 күн бұрын
Okay but not efficient. If you installed at front. Your intake must be at the back to create a better flow and efficiency of the air in-out.

The ventilation system needs to be 50% intake and 50% exhaust.

the attic space to turbine ratio is way off so it wouldn't work that dramatically at proper scale. But it demonstrates the principle.

Yes, this is a dramatization to demonstrate the function of a turbine ventilator.

@Lomanco7 ай бұрын
I appreciate your feedback and the humor! While the turbine size would remain the same as demonstrated in our demo, you would likely need more than one for your roof. To figure out the exact number required for optimal ventilation, you can conveniently use our Vent Selector app or the online calculator available on our website. They are great tools to ensure you get just the right setup for your needs. Let me know if you need any assistance with these tools!

What I don’t like about those demonstrations is that house/roof model is ridiculously small so those test will always work effortlessly. I believe Lomanco can afford to make at least 500sq feet roof model

Are wind turbines spark proof? I'm thinking of doing a VMS system to vent Methane.

Lomanco Whirlybird turbines are expressly designed for residential attic air ventilation. Any usage outside of this specific purpose is strongly discouraged by Lomanco and will result in the automatic voiding of all warranties. It is imperative to adhere to the intended use to ensure optimal performance and maintain warranty coverage.

I live in Chicago in “split level” type home . Each of my two roofs is approx 800 sq feet . On each is three static roof vents with about 10 inch openings. I’m planing to replace them with Lomanco turbine or two . My question is “if I will buy 14 inch for each roof, is it gonna be enough and do I have to close other two existing static vents ?” Thank you in advance for answering

I have recently rescued an injured whirlybird from the side of the road, and I am trying to nurse it back to health. What do I feed him?
@Lomanco9 ай бұрын
Absolutely, let's have some fun with satire: Hey there, rescuer of the injured whirlybird! Your dedication to nursing this inanimate object back to "health" is truly commendable. 😄 First things first, carefully and gently pick up your whirlybird and examine it for any "obvious injuries" like loose bolts or rust. After all, you wouldn't want your little turbine friend to have any mechanical mishaps. Now, when it comes to feeding your whirlybird, it's a bit of a gourmet. Place it near the peak of your roof, where it can soak up all that lovely hot air and moisture. For a well-balanced diet, ensure it gets an equal amount of cool outside air from the lower attic area. Remember, it's all about that perfect temperature mix for your whirlybird to thrive! In all seriousness, your whirlybird will be just fine as long as it's properly installed and maintained. If you have any real questions about it, feel free to ask, and I'll gladly assist you in caring for your home's ventilation. 😄

I dont find much value in this video becuse they are using s full size oriduct on an extremely reduced size model. Attic space and air speed (wind) are so highly misrepresented its pretty useless to simulate actual performance. It might show relative performance but all of the brands tested eere victim of a flawed simulation.

Why not use screws with built-in rubber washers to install it to the roof, then put sealant over those, to be double safe? It's only a few screws.
@Lomanco7 ай бұрын
Ah, I understand. It's important to follow Lomanco's installation instructions to maintain the warranty. Even though using screws with rubber washers and additional sealant might seem like a good idea for extra protection, deviating from Lomanco's guidelines could indeed void the warranty. Lomanco designs their installation procedures for optimal performance and longevity of their products, and sticking to these instructions is essential for keeping your warranty valid. It's always advisable to adhere to Lomanco's recommended installation methods to ensure both the effectiveness of the product and the integrity of the warranty.
