I like to think Petco/PetSmart keeps those fish in horribly managed cups to trigger a buyers instinct to “save” the animal, which later turns from a $5-$20 fish transaction to feeling the need to buy tanks, gravel, decor, filters, food, perhaps even plants and other fish to keep it alive. It’s such a trap, and although the fish do need happy homes, I can’t help but feel bad that people fall for it and they unknowingly fund the breeding and horrible treatment of more fish to come.

I have the suspicion that he puts those fish in that tank and such. Im not accusing you of anything just sharing a suspicion. If not, im surprised how the seller is keeping those animals in there.

I used to have a Betta, but I didn't know that the Betta put its child in its mouth when it was moving its child. I thought it was eating its own child.😂

As someone who has grown up with Betta fish, this was amazing. I love Bettas, and it was so sad seeing them in tiny cups.

I think I would avoid putting a betta with a crayfish. Shrimp can be tricky. I would stick to the bigger shrimp

Watching this video makes me want to have a betta fish as a pet too! It really amazes me how he takes care of the betta fish; I’d probably do the same!
