It took me a while to warm up to this shoe. I still think the ASICS meta speed sky Paris is better in every way though.

I like Peg plus. The only downfall of this shoes is the price. Shoes these days (specially the trainers) have high stacks with big foams and have some sort of plates in and that makes hard to feel the ground. With peg plus, i can feel scretching the ground and toeing off and actually FEEL the terrain. Could see why the shoe is named as Pegasus. Comfy and flexible. I personally think it is designed to be the ideal trainer for Vapour3

I am following you because you have the same wear pattern as me. You said that you worked on it to rectify the problem. Your shoes are worn on the outside in the forefoot. Are you still going to show which drills you do to rectify this and let it know if it works? You said a long time ago that you would make a video about it but till now you haven't shown anything. Does the video still come?

Outsole durability aside, do you think the dual foam setup on the Boston is still delivering after 400+ miles? Does it feel good? Thanks!

I'd say it's been okay/ expected wear & tear at this stage of the game, so it's definitely still useable, just don't expect any miracle runs after 300+ miles is my thoughts.

Alphafly 2’s suck so bad I was scared to buy the 3’s 😆 I mainly wanted to know if the 3’s had a wider mid foot support where the pad isn’t rubbing on your arch like they do on the 2’s. Nonetheless, I prefer vaporfly 2’s and just bought the vaporfly 3’s which are good so far

AF V3 was on my feet for a 10min PB which gave me a Chicago 2025 time qualifying spot, and a Boston 2025 bib. And I'm wearing the same pair I BQ'd in at Chicago 2024 with currently 175km on them. I suspect I will retire them after Chicago from racing, and get a fresh pair for Boston. My wear on the AF V3 is limited to the front of the red rubber under the air pods, which tells me all I need to know....I'm working those pods! I did roll my right ankle 3 times during my tune up half marathon on Sept 22nd, but the road to trail to road sections were mostly to blame. I will be cautious at Chicago so I can hopefully go sub 3:10 and BQ again for 2026. After running marathons in the AF V1 and V2, the V3 was glorious at my spring 2024 marathon with a 3min neg split!

Nike hasn't been on point with QC for a while now. You are gambling when you buy a Nike shoe because most likely you will get dodgy glue marks or any other defective product issues. I understand the urge for nostalgia but there are better shoes that can offer more than this one for better or the same price. When you retire Turbo Plus you can look for upcoming Adidas shoes like Evo SL which has full length lightstrike pro with no plates or rods and is cheaper than Nike. Also, they are releasing another full length lightstrike pro no plate shoe Adios 9 with less stack (similar to takumi sen).

@@FilipLatochaRunning I really hope it's not that, kind of making shoe more unstable if you land on heel.. think it's a great shoe, just find it weird that noone has clear answer.. There's also a different rubber "style" on that small lateral/heel part of outsole, like they really tried to do something important with it and that it doesn't come unnoticed...

I can't believe with the Mach 5, a best seller, and one of the best and original shoes on the market, how at Hoka, they gave us this bland and boring shoe..... they've gone from a BMW M5 to a Toyota Camry Hybrid. And they have made it too high..... 8 whopping mm difference. Who ever did this at Hoka should be fired 😮😊

you made quite an Interesting point here, saying that 10mm drop causes supination. i am a midfoot striker, but when i stand i very mildly overpronate with almost flat feet, but all my shoes are 10mm and the wear pattern in rubbers is almost the same as yours, in supination areas but not quite as much as yours.
@FilipLatochaRunning
@FilipLatochaRunning Ай бұрын
I was told by my run form doctors that the higher offset 8-10mm is meant to correct running form, so if the wear is on the outside of the shoe, we just need to drop to about 4-6mm, as we're overcorrecting with the higher offset, granted there's like 29483792 other factors involved.
@ApurbaAdhikari
@ApurbaAdhikari Ай бұрын
@@FilipLatochaRunningOk, time to try some lower offset shoes now for that 1/29483792 chance to not blow up the rubber on the sides, have to burn up my 7 shoes before I get some with lower drops. TY for the reply.

I refuse to pay more than a tire for a shoe that gets pathetic 300-400 mi before throwing away...a waste of resources and a scam IMO. There is NO reason a shoe's sole could not last for a few 1000 mi as a tire lasts 30-80K mi and is under so much more load and speed! Think about it.....

For the Metaspeed Sky+, the folks at runrepeat measured the heel stack at 33.5mm and the forefoot stack at 30.8mm for a 2.7mm drop. Given the chonk in the forefoot, it ran like a negative drop shoe for me.
