I'm late, but so happy to see you posted! Im really happy you finally got to cut your hair and dye it black, it looks great on you! When i was a teen, I was inspired to do pink hair from your photos. I had it for about 2 years, its a LOT of work! Which is fine if its a choice, but it must have been super frustrating that you were obligated to maintain long/dyed hair by contract.

My eyes are really wonky - around -5.5 in one eye and -2.5 in the other, with astigmatism in both, but is extra bad in my good eye 🫠

I dyed my hair for the first time last year and learnt about how to care for it from your videos - it's been over a year now and I'm used to it but I already feel like it's a pain (used to just shave my head every few years to be done with it) 🤣 I'm keeping it for now just because the bleach and colour cost so much I feel like I need to maintain it, it's nice living vicariously through this vid haha. congrats!!!

Thank you! Does the scalp get damages with so many bleaches? I personally have been having pink hair for +3 years now, but I’ve always been very scared of damaging my scalp with bleach and don’t know how to prevent it..

It depends on if you're doing on-scalp bleaches and how you prep your hair! I would leave my hair unwashed for a few days so the natural scalp oils would create a barrier against the bleach, and then my colourist would theb spray more oil on top before the bleach process - it also helps the itchiness. Tbh I'd always have issues with the certain toner brands afterwards burning and then my scalp flaking off a week later 🫠 I think the most important way to prevent damage is to have a colourist whose application skill and process you can trust

Ack i forgot to reply to your initial question - no, I haven't had any scalp damage despite 10+ years of on-scalp bleaching every 6-7 weeks 🫡
