Brilliant tutorial, perfect judgment of detail and focus points for explanations. I particularly like the combination of design thinking and plasticity how-to, since in reality you need to do both together.

Hello, you told in the description that we can snap spline into surface. How can we do that ? Can we snap spline into polygonal surface ? I want to build a rough sub d shape of some car, import to plasticity and then make a clean mesh

Hi, read it better, you can do that in Plasticity 2024.2 , not in the one I am using in the tutorial.

Hi PolyPaul. Would this knowledge be transferable to Blender or does it focus on Modo specifics in depth? In other words, do you use a software agnostic approach or is this a Modo learning series? Thanks.

Plasticity is by far the best modeler ever. For now mainly focused on design (cad for artists), but I fear that later it could be used almost as a professional cad. *Extremely* easy. Fantastic hybrid ''polygons'' / nurbs''. Powerful and versatile, you can make hardsurface or automotive. Fast even on low-powered computers. Highly customizable. Simple and practical interface. EVERYTHING is designed with extreme intelligence. It gives an incredible sense of creative freedom, much less worries about maintaining a precise topology Excellent for those coming from Blender. The only flaw, the cost. But not too much if we consider these qualities and the time savings. And it's only at the beginning. Only those who try it enough can understand how much faster the workflow is compared to polygonal modeling, especially for hardsurface.
@Stuff-3D-creations13 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Plasticity really does bring a fresh perspective to modeling, especially for those transitioning from other software. Its versatility and intuitive design make it a game-changer for artists!
