Where can you purchase this design? I am very new to the hobby and would like to build this as my first. It has everything I would want and ability to operate with 2-3 people in a smaller space is what I am after. A parts list for Kato and some how tos is what I’m looking for Please let me know where to find this so I can get started here

Hi Bart. Great design, just wondered about where the track splits below the curved girder bridge - would that need to be wired for a reverse loop? Thanks, Alan
@DubaiTrainsАй бұрын
Hi Alen, yes you are correct. That section of track is to be wired as a return loop. The track length has been increased to accommodate long trains.

Do you have any suggestions for a 36"x80" tabletop design on a door? I live in an apartment and that's really all the space I have. The plan I laid out is a simple double track oval around the outside, outer for passenger trains and the inner one for freight trains. There is a small two track "yard" off the inner loop for industry. There will be two mountains with tunnels (to give the effect that the trains actually go somewhere) in each rear corner with a lake edge and bridges for trains to cross the lake on the far side. The middle is mostly a small Mayberry-like town with a highway running left to right (crossing tracks) and a vertical road from the yard to the top of the layout and beyond. This creates one paved intersection with other roads being dirt or gravel. My thinking is that this will allow me to run two trains at the same time and do a bit of switching for the industries. I only hand three rules when I began this. 1) It must fit on a door. 2) it must run two trains. 3) It must have a small town made from Walthers and Woodland Scenics kits. It probably looks boring ang to grid like as the track just runs in a loop with no curves or inclines. I've watched videos like yours and I just don't have the room for anything too elaborate. Thanks for the ride around your layout.
@DubaiTrainsАй бұрын
Hi Danny, there are plenty of door sized designs available. I would suggest to look into those and pick one that you like. When it comes to small layouts and your wishlist, there are not a lot of options. There is only so much hou can do in a small space therefor 'your' ideal design is probably already put there. You just need to find it.

Nice video but... what scale is this and what camera did you use? All you said in a previous comment was that it is cheap and you mentioned it in another video. Well duh, which one? You have posted over 200 if my count is correct.
@DubaiTrains2 ай бұрын
The issue is that someone gave me the camera just as is. So i do not have the exact type name. Let me see if it is written on there somewhere. I made a post a while ago showing the setup. Yes over 200 videos and counting?! Crazy how it all adds up.

Do you have any planning for Ho Scale?
@DubaiTrains2 ай бұрын
Hi, yes I do have several. If you have the space, an N scale design can be used as a starting point for HO. However generally speaking it would be better and about the same amount of work to make a new design.

Hi Barry, it is a cheap camera a friend gave me. I posted a picture of it on the channel. I did put some post processing to stabilize the image a bit. What would help with the shaking is to start with a good quality and stable car. Maybe one of those 4 truck / 8 axel heavy load cars.
