please read this, I noticed he did not fill grease reservoir with grease. Filling of the grease reservoir with grease is a must to do, this help keeps the wheel bearing from overheating. If you don't fill the grease reservoir your new bearing will last about 6 months to 1 year.

The teeth is, in English, the *crownwheel*. It mates with the *pinion*. Since the two gears are *factory mated*, they cannot be separated. They are bought as a set and will need to be replaced as a set. If you have an unmatched pair they will never give a good marking on install and will be noisy - they will whine, most annoying.

It really hurts to see someone pounding these bearing races into place with a hammer like this guy, this is wrong. There is a special tool that goes into the race and puts even pressure all around it while it is tapped or pressed in. And when you do brakes unless you really can't you should machine the rotors when you do pads, that way you dont have a new flat pad running on high/low grooves on the old rotor and overheating it.

Hi Madame, I would like to clear out few things. 1. Don't use a tap water for your coolant, you'll somehow potentially give a rust or some problems to the engine. Tap water isn't filtered to the point where there's no small particles, it'll have small particles which leads to potential bigger problem in the end. Once or twice isn't an issue but if you're gonna use it for a long time, then it'll be a problem. 2. As the other person said, don't use spacers as it gives wears to the wheel bearing. So there's that just hope you read through this comments n might think about it. Wanna keep a Toyota for a longer time.

Hi Jun, great video hopefully it will encourage more people to take up off-roading in a environmentally and safe way, I have one comment which I was surprised the instructor did not pick up on, which is that you had your thumbs on the inside on the steering wheel this may lead to you braking your thumbs if the steering wheel "kicks back" in a rut ..... if you notice when the instructor was driving your 4x4 he kept his thumbs on the inside of the steering wheel which is the correct way ...... anyway hope you continue do more offloading .... have fun and enjoy

that clicking noise could be from auto engage 4wd ? i suspect you have a setting that it will automatically engage the front wheels when putting it in 4wd? atleast a nissan patrol has that. and when you put it in wring, it starts clicking like yours does. i hope that halps you finding the problem. Good luck.
@JunOutdoors2 күн бұрын
My Land Cruiser has a pair of manual locking hubs. Need to manually lock the wheel hubs, in order to engage 4wd. The clicking noise happens when 4wd is engaged, and the front wheels are turned.

Typical clueless Malaysian mechanic. Hammering in the bearings without using a soft mallet or with wood pieces to prevent bearing damage. Also diluting the coolant with tap water where the added chlorine can cause some corrosion

Much as enjoy your solo camping video, I hope you prioritized your safety first and foremost as being a solo female camper can be dangerous even at the best of times. Being a Malaysian, you would know that single females have been raped and killed in public places such as public car parks (Canny Ong, 28, in 2003), let alone in secluded jungle areas. Female only parking areas in car parks were introduced as a direct result of her rape and murder. Although Canny Ong's murderer was caught and executed, others, such as the murderer of Goh Lee Fang, 26, who was raped and killed at The Curve in Mutiara Damansara in 2005, was never caught till today. And these are only the more well known and publicised ones. You should always travel in pairs or more in secluded areas, and carry some legal self-defense weapons such as pepper or chili spray. And do remember that in the jungle, even in marked out areas which are well known to the public, you can still easily get lost. There have been too many reported stories of hikers walking a well marked out jungle path, to have one or more to suddenly get totally lost after a wrong turn. Oh, and for those arguments that a woman should have every right to go solo camping as a man, well, I don't think a would be rapist or murderer would care, would he? I would also suggest that a video out about your solo camping trip is quite dangerous as it might attract stalkers, and the consequences that might bring. Take care.

Wider tyres, positive offset rims, spacers, all accelerate tyre and bearing wear. Affect handling too. Wheels that have a bigger diameter than stock, puts extra work on the engine and transmission. Gears have to be changed more often. you lose power easily going up inclines. Bigger tyres, heavier rims and spacers change the unsprung weight ratio ( the ratio of the moving part vs the vehicle body weight). When this ratio increases the vehicle rides rougher, Nothing beats stock rims and tyre size that is recommended by the vehicle manufacturer ! Trinidad & Tobago West Indies.
