Actually in person its pretty sick! On a all black LC you wouldn't notice, and the diversity gives nice contrast. Plus it's much more protection. If it's bothersome, you could put silver/grey matching wrap to make it look like the body color..

Jet Boil and French press. 4 min, $75 all in and takes up 10% of space. .05% of weight. Seems like a massive over kill for just coffee? Also can make soup and many other things with hot water. It is just a battery, you know that right?
@CruisingTheLand
@CruisingTheLand 5 күн бұрын
This was a small sample of what the portable power provides. It can do alot more, like power your fridge, your laptop, phone, lights etc... did you know that? Sorry I failed to explain it is not exclusive to make your coffee. I mean, you could save by drinking room temperature Starbucks Frappuccino? wouldn't be cold tho.. without a fridge and something to power it overnight to not drain the "battery" in your vehicle.

I have the same year about same miles original from Utah . I has very little rust (surface rust on frame) run great no problems . It's all original no mods. I just can justify spending 25k more for a truck from Cali . Also the rest of the country outside of Cali isn't the salt belt. I mean you can find the same truck in the southeast as well. I do love your videos they are informative but..
@CruisingTheLand
@CruisingTheLand 5 күн бұрын
Southeast is decent, but they have that humidity.. And AZ, NM have that dry heat, which affects the rubber trim.. Just saying... CA vehicles just have great conditions.. But on coast or in mountains, they are still potentially subject to salt.

@@CruisingTheLand Does a Cali vehicle really justify a 20 to 30k price difference ?
@CruisingTheLand
@CruisingTheLand 5 күн бұрын
@homewithj1 Yes. It does. We have not seen your 80. You said UT it's whole life and that is has rust. The rust will not get up and leave, it's there and it eats. Next you said stock. So adding a lift costs $$ and makes it better, because it will be all new bushings too. And new BFG K02 tires, not some 265s... that are too small, so your buyer would have to invest in bigger tires. Then if you have "a little rust" then the rims 100% have worming and likely have to be re-done to be similar to these rims..Land Cruiser Heaven does them, for 1600. Condition of leather? probably not the same as this one, and grey is rare as well. So to answer your question, do I think this 80 is worth 10k + more than yours. Absolutely. However, there will be a budget minded buyer, whi has a 20k max budget, Who will justify that the rust "ain't so bad" and that they will add a lift later... and that they will re-do the driver seat later... and that's OK. But by the time they do everything, they will be much closer to this LCs price, and still have surface rust, that ain't going away. Sorry... you asked. Just being real.

well, you haven’t seen my car. I’m not selling Land Cruisers online. I do own one. it was originally from Utah and well taken care of and washed and kept in the garage. it’s never been used for rock climbing it’s never even pulled a trailer .I live in New York City I only drive for road trips or camping otherwise it’s stored in the garage .when I say, rust, I mean surface rust on the frame of the car which you’ll find in 90% of the cars in this country including California sea salt is salt and certainly is capable of rusting a car,. all the upgrades and add-ons I’ve always found to be subjective based on the idea that when someone buys something they’re gonna add the things that they like and prefer not something that was picked out for them so it cost $30,000 more I’ve seen a lot of, Land Cruisers that have been ruined with upgrades.The interior of one is in excellent condition . It has cloth seats which I prefer . I never understood the concept of people assume that they would have more knowledge than the Japanese engineers who’ve been building these vehicles for 70 years. That’s always been lost on me. That’s why mine has no modifications. it’s more than capable ,

Thank you for disclosing New York, which is way worse than Utah. You point out rust in California? We'll, if you live in Big Bear or Mammoth, or launch a boat into the Pacific.. sure..But that's less than 1%. Look, I understand you got a good deal for your UT Land Cruiser, and likely didn't buy one from California at a higher price. I get it, if you are in New York, why buy a clean rust free LC only to bring it through NY winters, slush and salt. But I am sure when you bought your 80, you weren't deciding between an even priced California 80, hence you compromised for one with a little rust. You are correct to say the Japanese were ahead of their time with engineering an incredible vehicle. But not 30 years ahead of their time..For instance, stereo technology has changed.. So Apple play or a double din is a nice upgrade. Also, a 2" lift is a must. A stock 80 looks like a low rider, and suspensions have improved. They had great cloth upholstery back then, but their leather did ot stand the test if time. Bumpers? You get plastic bumperettes.. you do not feel steel is an improvement over the plastic? Again, a stock LC is beautiful, but 33s and a 2" lift is even more beautifuller! 😍

I have a 94 with 190 k miles' real soccer mom car all original from Utah almost rust free . I'm in NYC now. I dont drive it much . Only for camping and road trips. I paid no where near 30k for it. Trust me most people took great care of a truck that cost 50k in the mid nineties . They aren't all rust buckets. They are generally washed weekly and garage stored.Not all great car are located in Cali. I certainly could never justify spending 50k more for a truck that does the same things. Also what's with the Ohio plates, insurance ??

Peanut oil. Clean black trim. Wipe oil on, give it five minutes, wipe it off. Lasts for months, doesn't attract squirrels (my main concern), looks better than any cheap or expensive auto product I've tried, costs almost nothing. You can use smooth peanut butter, too, but it means hand-buffing the excess off and makes a mess. Seriously, try peanut oil.

it will not be the same, bc there is two injection molds, one for normal boards, and one for the holes..If you cut and make the holes yourself, it will look bad. If you added holes because the boards were used alot and had burn nubs on the ends, then you an cut because they already look bad. I tried it and it was 1.5 hours and a disaster. I don't recommend. Besides, I sell normal boatd for 280 and metal boards for 340. $60 difference and the Yellow Zinc Grade 8 I use would cost you over 100 plus you'd need 1.5 hours time. 72 nylock Nuys, 72 bolts, 144 washers..Go.proce.it out and see.

I did this on a powder coated roof rack, and brought it back to new! I was about to pay $300 to a powdercoater, plus take 2 hours removing, driving there etc... So glad I used this instead.
