I vaguely remember #5. The whole area went into a "don't talk to strangers, careful answering the door mode." This happened a couple of years before the Satanic Cult sacrificing White Blonde people scare. That was another weird thing that happened in this area.

I'm sorry but the ex-area 51 alleged phone call is bizarre in more than one way: - It occurred on September 11, 1997. The date sounds familiar, doesn't it? - "The disasters that are coming, the government knows about them" considering the events that occurred exactly 4 years later, are they somehow connected to what he meant? And if so, are these events only the beginning of an even bigger disaster coming? - "There's a lot of safe areas in this world that they could begin moving the population to, now. They want those major population centers wiped out, so that the few that are left will be more easily controllable." It might seem extreme, but I believe we're seeing a pattern across major countries: widespread crises, increasing violence among civilians, and a growing sense of toxicity. This is happening at the same time that social media is having a negative impact on our generation, leading to the spread of misinformation, manipulation, and even brainwashing, especially among young people.

That last bird call is so sad and haunting. But whether the bird is truly extinct is...iffy. The truth is that our grasp of local ecology is slippery and species go extinct all the time that we don't even know existed, while ones we think are gone sometimes are spotted unexpectedly years, decades or even centuries later. Note that I'm not trying to understate or downplay the catastrophic loss of habitat and species due to human intervention, especially in island environments like the Hawaiian islands. But often, declarations of endangered or extinct are guesstimates motivated by where best to direct scarce conservation funding and there have been claims over the years (particularly in relation to the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker) that local authorities may be protecting certain very endangered species by hiding the whereabouts of surviving individuals/populations and insisting they don't exist. Claiming that the Kaua‘i ‘ō ‘ō, Carolina Parakeet or Passenger Pigeon, for example, might not be extinct and are still being sighted somewhere is vastly different from claiming to have seen Bigfoot. We know for a fact those three bird species existed and recently. We're just pretty sure there aren't any left.

You can blame whoever you want, you can argue that Bush hired Bin Laden to crash the plane into the building. But the structural damage from the plane hitting the buildings coupled with the weakened (not melted) steel beams from the heat of the fire is 100% what caused them to collapse. Its completely impossible for explosives to have caused that collapse

Me too. I'm not fond of pet birds but I spend quite a bit on bird seed as I've noticed that more and more natural habitat is being swooped up by development. There seems to be more different species coming to eat as the years go by. I've kept it up in memory of my husband as he enjoyed watching these little birds.

My first thought with #2 was an elk (yes, I've seen and heard elk in the wild. We used to camp all over the U.S. and Canada when I was a kid, and I've also lived in Africa and the UK. I've been in a lot of different wildernesses). I looked up elk calls and yep, they sound a lot like that. Also, a wild elk was accidentally hit and killed on a freeway near Chicago in December 2023, the first sighting in the area for two centuries. It was one of two elk, apparently originally from Wisconsin, who had entered the state and state authorities had been tracking both for over a month. So, there are elk in that part of the world. Could still be a hoax and I do lean that way, but if he did add the sound, I'm guessing it was (wait for it) an elk call.

One of the greatest mysteries is how - in a world of opposoable digits and high def cameras - a home video shot in 1967 is still the clearest and most stable footage we have of "bigfoot".

'ghosts' don't need darkness or gadgets, if you are young and sensitive as my daughter was, she saw an old man on the landing when she returned home from school, fully described him in great detail as if he was real, up until the point he became transparent and she could see a pink spotted towel appearing at the same time which was on the landing handrail drying.

I was listening that night to Art Bell (as we did every night from 1996 until he left the air.) and that phone call was, indeed, one you can't unhear. I'll never forget the terror in that kid's voice. He later said it was a hoax, but I don't buy it. I don't know what kind of actor or head case could pull that off if it wasn't real. And when the call was cut off, it made a sound that Art identified as some sort of digital phaser that he wasn't capable of doing. He kept saying, "I can't do that!" It was a helluva night that night. RIP Bell.
