It’s a different Aerith which is how she can express her feelings for him the other Aerith told him in remake not to fall in love with her. The glitches between timelines. When Sephiroth stabs her we see different versions. One with no blood then the glitch then with blood. Tifa sees the same thing. The timelines will come together. There’s still one Aerith alive in Zack’s timeline. How they bring it all together I can’t wait to see.

I’m guessing that each transformation is either a friendly npc or an enemy character that you have defeated during your play through based on the amount of speculated transformations. Either way I’m super bummed that this won’t be on Xbox 🙃
