Thanks, Tonearm, just subscribed! Just the kind of Canuck Country I crave! (Takes me back to the family living room in Powell River, B.C. in the 70's. "I am a travellin' man followin' the breeze." With Debbie Lori Kaye, and Mike, Mark, and Jack, the Rythym Pals and the incomparable fiddle of Al Cherny! "If the good Lord's willin' we'll see you hear again next week!")

In Canada this got (deservedly) heavy rotation on NCN, the "New Country Network" back in the day. Wish the video was posted to YT.

Kitten es una gran baladista pero sabe de vez en como adornar una balada yodel para que todos los temas no parezcan iguales.
@javiermonteagudo6085 Жыл бұрын
Muy buen tema pero cantando balada yodel tienes que de vez en cuando adornar el Yodel como hace Slim Dusty.

I haven't heard this song before but I loved it and the beautiful gal Myrna Lorrie made such a beautiful job singing it and the same thing with all the other song she sings. Myrna Lorrie is so beautiful and so special and I almost forgot about the great guitar picking .

My Dad loved Wilf Carter and cried when Wilf Carter passed away ... I remember this ì watched Wilf Carter at a nursing in I think in Alberta entertaining them after he was done he asked them what did you think about the entertainment and this one guy said it's not bad but he's no Wilf Carter and he was talking to Wilf Carter l.o.l. 🤣

OMG ! With Sonny THROCKMORTON... "I wish I was 18 again" And Charles AZNAVOUR... "Yesterday, when I was young" This is almost like putting that literal nail in the coffin 🥴... Crash Test Dummies.."At My Funeral", dang, THAT one makes it believable 🥹 ! Enjoy, I do all of the time 👍 and thanks for putting this up 😁 !

Thanks so much for this it means a lot to me, I remember seeing Charlie Louvin when I was a kid at the FridayNight OPRY. I was sitting On the floor looking up at him and I am almost sure he was singing Here's A Toast To Mama and this brought it all back to me. I miss hearing him. One of the most under-rated country singer who ever sung.
@paulwilson6260Ай бұрын
Yes, Sir. Charlie was one of the best. It’s funny: he missed several chords on the guitar during that song, yet his voice was spot on anyway.
