Oh my gosh I wish I had remembered this video a week ago when I began rebuilding the stairs in my Minecraft Hogwarts... My brain is completely burnt out right now from watching the same moving staircases scenes from the movies for hours on end in regular speed, slow motion, forwards, backward, upside-down, and every other way 😆 to try to figure this out. Luckily, I came close to the same conclusion as what you have here, but I did not realize that the pattern breaks again up at the top. Anyways, can you share links to references you used? I have never seen the miniature for the moving staircases!

I don’t understand how the height of the Great hall floor line up with the Reception hall Stair landings(it’s too high, and from the film we see on the inside there’s a ceiling above the four windows in the entry hall. So what Room has those big windows above it?

Hey, I'm building a sort of Hybrid Hogwarts in Minecraft. I was wondering if you could go into more detail on the training grounds tower? I always loved how it looked in the earlier movies compared to the belltower in the later ones. Could you put a study on it in your blog, or a layout of it in relation to the walls around the astronomy courtyard? Thanks

Central Tower was changed to that square gothic style in Prisoner of Azkaban and onward. It got shortened in Half Blood Prince and onward so the Astronomy Tower would look taller.

Sorersors stone is the best and purest form of the castle cause it's devoid of any changes needed for plot convenience ,it's also the smallest one which i like, as later hogwarts really stretched the realm of believability even for a magical castle. deathly hallows is easily the worst (moving the viaduct from where it was since the initial concept drawing of Hogwarts just so voldy's army could more easily attack the castle was dumb) and i really missed the old grand staircase

I can't wait for your video of the castle from the last movie in the franchise, because I really want to know where Harry is talking to Helena. Because I can't understand where this place is

Are you going to fix your top quad windows to make them more accurate?

Did you know that the sorcerer Stone in chamber of secrets quad path different and the sorcerer Stone there is supposed to be a fountain the same color as Hogwarts and so is the path and in the chamber of secrets the fountain and path is gray and the fountain looks more like a pool

Why do you think they got rid of the cloisters and fountain and raised up the quad

I have a question for you. Do you think that they are trying to hide the quad from us on purpose? It kind of seems like it because they don’t really show it at all.

You forgot to add the arched windows on the back of the quad

I have to tell you something. We all know that the original hogwarts castle quad was never really shown, but I have studied the quad and yours is pretty much 100% accurate I have known this from the start without the new pictures you added stone columns blocking access to the quad with the new picture showing the buttresses on building connecting the chamber reception to the grand staircase tower you can see inside the closet there is a balcony on the other side I new before The pictures that those purchases were supposed to be there and I already knew that there was a balcony on the other side of the quad I do not know what the other side balcony looks like but I do know that there is a balcony in the quad allowing you access I hope you read this and if you want to know what the quad underpass looks like please watch this video.

This is amazing and I just have a silly technical question about your textures. Maybe my eyes deceive me but I don't see any obvious repeating or tiling. How'd you achieve that?
