Taeyang was at Lisa's audition and was one of the influences that got her signed, and had her in one of he's solo music videos. GD, as i'm sure you've found out by now featured both Jennie and Rosé in some of he's songs. And if you check out Daesung's interview with Rosé recently after her solo album, each member had an influence on the group weather indirectly or by being present for their evaluations :)

Irene is my bias in red velvet and she is indeed the visual of red velvet but she has also been deemed the ideal visual of korean idols in general im not sure if it's for a certain era or all together but either way it is crazy irene is unpredictable from a super group such as red velvet but she definitely holds her own and then some on this solo album much love to her and her crew members absolutely love this album it's a no skip for me

Tbh Irene's summer rain always makes me cry. Like been a fan of hed for like 8 years now and finally so happy that she get the chance to shine as bae ju hyun not just irene. Im so happy for where she is right now talent,career and the life she deserve to have.

Summer Rain is my favorite.... it took me forever to decide this though.... because... every song on her solo album is GOOD. And at least 4 of them kept fighting me when I tried to name a favorite from the album. Summer Rain, though. It gets me. I have cried on multiple occasions when I listened to this song since it came out. Irene is an EXTREMELY stable vocalist - I really think she is a true core of Red Velvet's sound. I hope everyone will get that she really is that for the group hearing her tone and how it helps really tie together all the beautiful vocal styles in Red Velvet. She has gorgeous moments in Red Velvet songs, but people don't know its her because it isn't often on title tracks over time. I do feel like Like A Flower is such a PERFECT title track and album. I didn't anticipate the style of the title track, but it suits her SO PERFECTLY it's amazing my mind was blown. The messaging for sure, the way the track feels such a combination of delicate, energetic and strong all at once - she has so much power within her but even just when you listen to Irene speak it is such a demonstration of her generally. She speaks with the most soothing and soft tone, but she also is always very confident behind that and calm - very just... grounded? But then when she laughs it's like an explosion of joyful sound it's so loud and expressive. Anyway. That just sums up Irene for me in a way - she's full of pretty and soft and soothing vibes but then she's also so powerful and fierce. I'm so happy for her in her entire era right now. Earlier today I watched her Kaching stage and I'm just so happy she's getting to do these things she wants to do now.

Even tho Irene is my bias i was really suprised how good her Debut Album is! She really showed what she can do with her Voice! Like a Flower is on repeat daily for me haha. My favorite B-side on her Album is Calling Me Back - it is so goood

Yeah as someone else mentioned the first song/MV you checked out was actually a RED VELVET song (minus Joy cuz she was busy filming a drama or got sick and could not participate in the song) with Irene featured in the music video. There is an acoustic live performance of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Yeei singing “Would U” and it’s gorgeous live. Also to piggy back on another comment talking about Irene’s whistle note/scream in REALLY BAD BOY.. yep it is indeed Irene who did that the most cleanly out of the 5 girls. But she really had to bend down and legit scream the highest she could possibly could. So it is not something really easy for her to do live tbh. But in terms of singing Irene can definitely do some gorgeous runs, adlibs, and nice falsettos despite having a husky tone and is known for taking care of the lower notes alongside Yeri. But make no doubt about it, Irene has vocal range!! You really need to get into more of Red Velvet’s b-sides as well as their solos and songs they featured in.. I’m telling you…Yeri has a lovely range as well too!! If you checked out the Irene x Seulgi sub unit mini album and MVs. You’ll hear Irene’s vocal range and style in there too. Maybe because I’m a reveluv, I felt that “Like A Flower” suits Irene perfectly..but again I knew she loves Tyla and likes groove/afro beat music genres.
