Is it possible that for those who are named Sabine the most fitting patron saint is saint Sabina of Rome? there is a beautiful Romanesque shrine dedicated to her near Circo Massimo in Rome.

Yes, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. but after the immaculate conception, Mary had James, Joseph, Simon and Judas and two unnamed sisters. The Bible never says Mary was an everlasting virgin.

I’m very new to religion in general but I’ve been involved in my local catholic church. I’d like to get far enough in this religious journey of mine to be able to get baptized. Can I have a saint or gain a relationship with a saint before being baptized? Sorry if that’s a stupid question idk I didn’t grow up with God so I don’t have this common knowledge

I'm protestant who us now looking into Catholicism. I agree with everything particularly the laity participating in the mass and architecture. I live in the DFW area. The churches near me are just plain. And their Novis Ordo mass not reverends. I drive almost 45 minutes just to attend Latin Mass (FSSP).

I think it would be best practice if people start calling the liturgies by their official names. The TLM is the Missal of 1962. The NO is the Missal of 1970. This puts them into perspective so people do not believe the Missal of 1962 is the Missal of 33. Both are sacred liturgies that are comparable to St. Justin Martyr's Mass as he described it. Traditionis Custodes was implemented per the document with it because the Church's mercy given by Pope Benedict XVI was betrayed by people dissenting against Vatican II and the existence of the Missal of 1970. These people were militarizing the sacred Missal of 1962 against the Church and this is more than a liturgical abuse than "clown masses". It does one no good to say, "We must believe in the real presence" if one is abusing the Liturgy and should not be taking the Eucharist in the first place. This behavior is schismatic, divisive and against St Paul's teachings on unity. Luke 10:16 is clear, "he who is not with you is against me." Traditionally, rejecting an ecumenical council is schism as shown by Dioscorus, who rejected Chalcedon. Language. If there is any language we should speak, it is Aramaic. This is the language Jesus spoke and is the original Catholic language. Greek was second. There was a time the Mass was said in Greek and then later it was changed to Latin because at the time Latin was the vernacular and Greek became obsolete. Latin is now obsolete. Jesus never said, "Thou shall speak Latin in Mass". This leads to another problem. We should not make the Missal of 1962 into an idol. We should not be making a concept that one is "Catholic" because they go to the Missal of 1962. There are people that say this. Missals didn't start until the 1400s. They are not Sacred Tradition. This leads to another problem, using the term "traditional". We cannot make lower case tradition into Sacred Tradition. That is creating traditions of Man. The Church didn't originally speak Latin. The Eucharist wasn't given by tongue. In fact, There is little to no support for communion by tongue until the 500s. We need to be careful with this debate to not come into conflict with the Body Temple dogma. Our bodies are temples to the Holy Spirit. This is literally what St. Paul taught. And there is evidence that the Church has seen communion by hand in light of the Body Temple. The debate back then was not, "hand or tongue". It was "hand or chalice". And hand won out because it is part of the Body Temple. Going to far with saying, "we must go by tongue" can become heresy against this dogma. Musical instruments, language, how we take the Eucharist, these are all disciplines that can and have changed in time. The pope is the Supreme Pontiff. He has the authority to change "worship" per Pope Pius XII. Trent has an anathema against denying the Pope's role as the Supreme Pontiff. The pope can change worship to fit the changes in time and it is not modernism. Modernism is rejecting Peter, the current pope. The Missal of 1962 is sacred. It does not good to complain about people not knowing the dogma on the real presence if people do not know the dogma on submitting to the pope and bishops in communion with him. Communion by tongue is not leading people to submitting to the Church. There is a movement to groom people into interpreting tradition by their own imagination over what the Church is teaching. Protestants do the exact same thing with the Bible. This is why people like Trent Horn compare these dissenters to Protestants. Submit to Peter. Today, Peter is Pope Francis.

Amber, thank you for your video! I attended an archdiocesan seminary for 5.5 years and the following distinction was never made in my liturgy classes: The Mass of the Second Vatican Council was the Mass of 1962 (TLM). The Council did not anticipate the creation of a new Mass (Novus Ordo) when it met and wrote Sacrosanctum Concilium. This is why the NO Mass cannot rightly be called the "Mass of Vatican II". Perhaps a better description would be the "Mass Post Vatican II". Now, by saying this, I do not wish to imply somehow that the NO Mass is invalid. It's just not what was intended by the Council Fathers, but was later adopted by the Church. St. John Cantius in Chicago, which I have attended, bridges the gap between the TLM and NO Mass very well!

Priests who are trying to be cool think they will attract more people to the Church, well that almost never happens. Those "cool" people don't see you as spiritual person anymore. Once they convert and start seeking God you will be the last person they will ask for help because you act to much like all the people who love worldly things. And another thing that backfires is that people who love God, people who love holiness, and need spiritual leadership cant rely on you anymore, they are questioning your Church and asking themselves are you even spiritual person.

I appreciate your Interesting videos on Catholicism.🙏 I want to experience a latin mass this year eventually but I disagree with making it mandatory to receive on the tongue for NO It was acceptable on the hand in the early church. But thank you for your viceos they have been really helpful and educational and helped me getting back into my faith the past year I grew up catholic and forgot alot of what I learned and what sacraments mean and represent, and im sure lots of other catholics have as well.

That first church you showed from Liverpool is actually the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. The inside is even worse. You have mass in the round. The Alter is slap bang in the centre and the people sit all around in a circle. Remember that Liverpool is the most Catholic city in England and Wales... That is how far we have fallen from the proper standard. I am very lucky. My NO parish priest is actually the Episcopal delegate for the Latin Mass in our diocese. He has to train and certify and priest who wishes to celebrate the old right. We do a private Low TLM ever Monday, just the two of us. He also does a Solemn High Mass every month in the old rite at which I also serve. His regular NO masses are very reverent. We have ad orientum, alter rails, communion on the tongue, use of Latin, etc.
